Keswick Reach is well maintained holiday site about 15 minutes drive north of Keswick. The lodges are well appointed and very comfortable but not luxurious. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds and sofas were of good quality. There is a nice restaurant / bar on site although service can be slow. The reception staff were friendly and eager to help. We stayed in a Coleridge 3 bed lodge and whilst there were 3 bathrooms available, dressing table facilities were poor, with a very small ledge close to a mirror as long as you sat on the bed to dry your hair. The storage in the bedrooms was also poor, there was plenty of hanging space but virtually no shelf or drawer space.
The TV is a also an issue as it has a specific set of channels loaded and the TV guide did not load correctly, The main TV kept freezing and we were advised that we were clicking between channels too quickly, but even using the remote in slow motion would cause it to freeze several times a day. We did report the problem but did not see an improvement. Incidentally, and quite unusually for a lodge, there wasn’t a DVD player, instead a selection of films are offered at £2.95 each!
Other maintainenance issues were dealt with promptly. The lodges are also quite close to each other and bedrooms are overlooked by the neighbouring lodges.
Overall, despite bad weather, we enjoyed our stay but would be unlikely to return as we found the location to be a bit further north than we prefer and did not think the lodges were as luxurious as suggested in the advertising.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your generally positive comments about the site, comfortable & well appointed accommodation and our attentive staff. We are sorry that you feel our online and printed literature about the lodge did not meet your expectations - such as storage space, niggles with the TV signal and the lodge’s setting. At the same time, we are pleased that on the whole you enjoyed your time here and chose to explore a different part of the Lake District National Park that our new and regular guests come to enjoy. Best regards

A group of 7 of us and a dog stayed in one of the turner 4 lodges in July for an extended weekend. When i booked it, it was the only cabin avaiklable not just on the site but in the whole of the lake district that would accomodate us all. Because of this i didnt really have high expectation, however i was really pleasantly suprised!
The cabins are very modern and tastefully decorated. Very spacious inside and plenty of room for 7 adults and a dog! They provided everything you needed to self cater which was great, and the kitchen faciliies were brilliant. The beds were also very comfy. We did have a minor problem with one of our party being too long for a single bed, and being unable to dangle feet off the end due to the wardrobe being there!
The lodge we stayed in had a decking area overlooking the trees, which was really nice as it felt like we had no neighbours!
We didnt use the onsite bar and restaurant, however we did pop into the shop and commented on how nice it all looked, and if we hadnt already had evenings planned we would have most certainly gone in.
The site is a great location, not too far away from Keswick and not too far from the M6. So easy to access!
I enjoyed my stay so much, I have already booked to come back with some friends next march, though this time we will be having a hot tub!

I am pleased that you were pleasantly surprised by your last minute holiday break. We have also noted your feedback about the standard bed length, while we are delighted that you have already rebooked to stay in a Premier hot tub lodge with your friends in the springtime. Next time be sure to pamper yourself in the Ammara Spa, or have tipple and enjoy a meal or a snack in Copper Fells. Thank you from everyone here at Keswick Reach!

As a family of 4 we stayed for a week in a Ruskin 2 lodge booked last minute at a great price. Staff are friendly and helpful and I thought the welcome glass of bubbly on arrival was a nice touch.
The interior was spacious and nicely done out with comfortable beds, tv's in both bedrooms, good shower, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and even a large wine cooler.Only issues were missing pieces from games in the lodge and supplies left for us seemed a bit stingy - one bin bag, no soap, dishwasher supplies or washing powder. The outside decking area was a nice place to relax (in between rain showers) and had a nice view of the mountains from one end. The lodges are all well spaced out with plenty of greenery around them and I personally wouldn't bother to pay the much higher cost of the select lodges although I understand the better view is important to some(especially if they stay in more than we do).
The bar is a pleasant place to sit ( not like the clubrooms you get at some resorts) and the live music with Luke was excellent.
We attempted to do the recommended walk to Binsey fell and took the map given to us at reception. It seemed as though someone has heavily padlocked the gates along the route and put big boulders in front to stop walkers so we had to give up which was a shame.
It would be nice to see more provision on site for older children/teenagers, for eg somewhere to play ball games/adventure playground etc as there seemed to be a lot of other families with children of a similar age to ours there during our visit. I would recommend Keswick extreme as a very good provider of outdoor water and climbing activities for older children and families if people are interested.
Overall we really enjoyed our break and would just hope for less rain if we came again.

The weather certainly has been a tale of contrasts this summer and we are glad that despite the rain you all enjoyed your holiday break! I have passed on your kind comments and feedback to our Housekeeping Manager as we supply as standard a small cleaning pack and toiletries including soap in the main bathroom. We are sorry if these were not provided in full on this occasion, including the missing pieces in the board games. We are pleased that you enjoyed the live midweek entertainment and have taken your feedback on board about facilities for younger guests, although currently we do not advertise or provide any dedicated facilities. We are also pleased that you made the most of exploring the local area. We have since checked and the route up to Binsey Fell is open and clear, which hopefully you will be able to explore next time if you do return. Many thanks

All you could ask for in a log cabin, we are a family of 4 where we had a great time and relaxing holiday, jacuzzi was spot on for the time of year, was really hot weather and the staff were great , didn't eat out at the park but friends say it was lovely. Will definitely return in the future and was a great price for the 5 star accommodation. All in all perfect location and had a great time. Thank you.

Room Tip: Any room would be perfect

We visited this place for a week. We arrived bit late, but staff were helpful enough. Accommodation was nice and clean. Restaurant and bar served well presented dishes too. Only drawback was flies inside the lodge. I would recommend this place
