Description: The Jumble Room in Grasmere is now in its 20th year and from very humble beginnings their ethos has remained the same...Take the very best local and where possible organic ingredients and cook them with love and care.. Our small colourful little restaurant in Grasmere has become internationally renowned, not for pomp and circumstance but for a place to relax and forget our mad and hectic lifestyles...to escape....switch off... if only for a little while.... and leave with the light glowing a little brighter! It is said of the jumble room that it has soul, a small bohemian style restaurant, casual, honest, restorative and uncompromising in the pursuit of quality Prepared with love and served with pride!

Wonderful, unusual and imaginative food and terrific service. Book early or you won't get a table indoors. we sat out in the sun which was lovely but it looked really quirky inside and I would have liked to have experienced that too.

We just got home from the Jumble room and I just have to write a review: we had the MOST INCREDIBLE dinner there!!! Friendliest service, beautifully plated, and the flavor out of this world!! I could not recommend this place any higher. It was incredible! Thank you!!

Enjoyed a family evenjng meal, between us we had harissa lamb, Malaysian curry, and a couple of starters as mains (artichokes, figs and manchego cheese) - we all loved the food. Worth the slightly inflated prices.

A fabulous, quirky restaurant with an interesting menu. Food was 1st class and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit and recommend rebooking as very busy.

We had a nice meal in the upstairs room- the food was delicious, the room was crammed with tables. Firstly the food: The Thriller from Manilla (17.5£) will (from now on) be my benchmark seafood noodles. My wife had Malasian Seafood Curry (20£) and she liked it as well (I am not a particular fan of a curry so no comment). The portions were reasonably sized, well presented and served quickly. The prices...(maybe one just have to spend money in Grasmere) I would say be careful: add a beer 3£, starter 7£, dessert 7.5£, and (God forbid) a cocktail 11£ or a bottle of wine and you will end up paying 30-50£ a head. Do mot get me wrong- the food was yummy!
