Enjoyed our meal here during a recent two night stay in Grasmere. After consulting TripAdvisor we found that eating in Grasmere is a bit limited in comparison to say Ambleside. We found Lewis’s close to our hotel, having walked past it when it was closed on Monday evening. The weather was lovely so we booked a table in the morning for 7:30pm that evening. Good job we did as the restaurant was full. Service was excellent, however three dishes on the menu were not available (Sea Bass, Salmon and a Chicken dish), hence only 4 stars. I chose the Lamb and my wife had a replacement Chicken dish, both were good sized portions served with local vegetables and perfectly cooked. Sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake rounded off an excellent meal. Good value for money, although we did not have wine. Highly recommended.
