Booked three rooms for a one night stay and we were delighted with our choice of B and B. Rose Cottage is approx a 15 -20 minute walk from Cockermouth and we did this several times during our stay. There is a big car park out front. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, you get a room key and a key to the front door so you can come and go at leisure. The rooms were lovely, really comfy beds, quality bed linen and sumptious pillows..I slept like a log. Bathroom immaculate and well appointed, free Wifi, kettle and complimentary tea and coffee available. Fabulous breakfast, including veggy option for me. We loved Rose Cottage and its wonderful owners, resident pooches were a delight! Perfect ..thanks so much .

Really pleasant stay. Short walk into the pubs and restaurants of Cockermouth. Room was spotless, great breakfast and plenty of parking. The owners are helpful and friendly. I will stay again and recommend to others

What a lovely B&B. Everything top notch, mine host were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. I am just a scrambled eggs man for breakfast. Best I have tasted for a long long time. People who had a full English certainly got a full plate full .
Stayed for two nights , bedroom had plenty of room, bathroom a nice size. bed very comfortable. Towels nice, white and fluffy. Tea and coffee and kettle provided. Very big on site parking which I think is a bonus.
Julia was very helpful about where to go in Cockermouth and nothing was too much trouble for her. All in all an excellent weekend.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 4, the room was very clean and well decorated. There were a couple of drawbacks being on the ground floor we only had a view of raised flower beds and plants. The floor boards above creaked quite a lot, but although we didn't lose any sleep over this. There is a lack of plug sockets and none at all near a mirror so if you use straightners or the like you will have a problem. There is a small make up mirror provided.
Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked, with a good selection.
Despite the niggles we would stay again.
