Really pleasant stay. Short walk into the pubs and restaurants of Cockermouth. Room was spotless, great breakfast and plenty of parking. The owners are helpful and friendly. I will stay again and recommend to others

What a lovely B&B. Everything top notch, mine host were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. I am just a scrambled eggs man for breakfast. Best I have tasted for a long long time. People who had a full English certainly got a full plate full .
Stayed for two nights , bedroom had plenty of room, bathroom a nice size. bed very comfortable. Towels nice, white and fluffy. Tea and coffee and kettle provided. Very big on site parking which I think is a bonus.
Julia was very helpful about where to go in Cockermouth and nothing was too much trouble for her. All in all an excellent weekend.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 4, the room was very clean and well decorated. There were a couple of drawbacks being on the ground floor we only had a view of raised flower beds and plants. The floor boards above creaked quite a lot, but although we didn't lose any sleep over this. There is a lack of plug sockets and none at all near a mirror so if you use straightners or the like you will have a problem. There is a small make up mirror provided.
Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked, with a good selection.
Despite the niggles we would stay again.

At Rose Cottage the owners can't do enough for you. They are clearly passionate about what they do and are very friendly and extra accommodating. They are very knowledgeable about the area and offer helpful tips and directions. The bedrooms are lovely with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable.
Breakfast is lovely and you can choose what you want making it extra special. The grounds are lovely and ample parking. We were offered a lift into town so we wouldn't be late for our friend's wedding which was a lovely touch. The dogs are very cute too and the guy is a good photographer. We will definitely return and highly recommend. Thanks for our stay.
