We were due to attend the Camerton Easter fun day but due to the all day rain they had to postpone it.
We decided to all still go for our lunch anyway. So glad we did - we all had superb meals
I had the steak pie with mash and veg, all very well cooked
My husband had the steak cooked to perfection with an utterly delicious pepper sauce
Children enjoyed their 3 course meal which was only £4.99 per child and they played outside whilst there was a break in the rain

See you all again soon, this is one of the nicest cleanest pubs I have ever been to

Visited this lovely pub once again over the Easter break with the family. This pub never fails to disappoint. All the food we had was delicious and home cooked as always! I had the lovely chicken breast with asparagus and new potatoes off the special board and was beautiful! Would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

We have followed the owners from South Cave and always enjoyed our visits to THE CAMERTON.
One of the meals tonight was not up to the usual good standard .
The salad with the rump steak was disappointing as the meat was more fat than steak.
However the real issue was when one of our party went to the gents toilet .One of the mail kitchen staff left the toilet WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS.
This is not hygienic .No wonder their are so many cases of sickness and diarrhoea.
We had booked for next weekend for a family meal out.We have cancelled this as we can't trust the HYGIENE now at THE CAMERTON.
This is a real shame as the staff waiting at the table and the bar have always been great.

We visited without booking a table after a family day out. They were able to accommodate us without a problem and it finished off the day nicely. They brought my youngest daughter the children's menu which is printed on a sheet of paper with lots of puzzles and pictures to keep her entertained while we waited for our food. I ordered the beef brisket which was amazing, my husband ordered steak and my eldest daughter ordered the chicken kiev. We all cleared our plates - although it was a struggle! Next time I think I'll try and save some room for one of the often talked about, home-made desserts. Its so nice to finally find a welcoming, family friendly restaurant that serves freshly cooked, delicious food.

Booked a table for 5 for 6.30 this evening and turned up to find a very busy pub. Got served straight away and shown to our table opposite the carvery which was very busy all the time we were there. The food looked and smelt Devine.
We went for the colossal burgers and chicken kievs, great choice. Very tasty food as usual, never disappointed here and the clean plates at the end speaks volumes. Rounded off with chocolate fudge cake, chocolate brownie and an ice cream sundae just about did us all in. Great service on a very busy evening, thanks again and see you all soon.
