Required a place to stay for a reunion with school friends from Australia and Kent, 60 years later! The Comfort Inn has an interesting written history which guests are welcome to read or take away. The reception staff were very welcoming and the bedrooms clean and tidy. Furnishings are a bit old fashioned. There were quite a number of guests in residence.

Room Tip: Each floor has 3 or 4 suites which look out to sea.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on the August bank holiday as we were attending a family get together.
The hotel was originally a number of four story Victorian/Edwardian houses that have been combined into one building. This results in a four story building that while it has lift access to all floors, some of the rooms are up/down a further small flight of stairs, meaning not all rooms are readily accessible if you have mobility issues, but this was not a problem for us.
The age of the building means some of the floors are not completely level, and with the sort of movement these old building have, there are small cracks in some plaster and gaps in places like skirting boards. However rooms are clean, and have air conditioning units fitted.. Some will have front facing views over the sea front and the English channel, with France on the horizon, some have a view of the car park. The bathroom had a full size bath with shower over, but floor movement had left one floor tile with a large crack in it..
Car park at the rear is small for the size of the hotel, and on street parking is hit and miss due to local residents trying to park as well. Staff were friendly and helpful, one of them moving their car so we could park our own. We did not eat here as we were eating with family elsewhere, so can only comment on the room and hotel. If you expect very high quality, or the newness of a Premier Inn or similar, this may be a disappointment to you, but as an honest, clean seaside hotel I think the 3.5 star rating is just about right.

I have to say I was sceptical as the price over the bank holiday for 2 nights was not cheap and the description and previous reviews were slightly off putting.

My girlfriend and I however were very surprised at the quality of the room and bathroom after seeing the tired reception of the hotel.

The staff were excellent and helpful and whilst we didn’t pay for a sea view room we were given room 212 which had a partial sea view and the room was nice. The bed was very comfy and the room very clean.

Ramsgate is a great place to visit for the weekend and the Comfort Inn is in a fantastic location.

Didn’t eat at the hotel apart from the continental breakfast included in room rate so can’t comment on food quality.

Overall would recommend especially if you can get a discounted room rate.

Great overnight stay at Comfort Inn Ramsgate. Friendly and professional staff, comfy beds and clean and tidy room. Cheerful staff at breakfast time seating us quickly and showing us through the menu items and offerings of the self service breakfast buffet.
Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay and would happily return and would also recommend the hotel to others.

Stayed here for two nights. Very comfortable. Helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. We weren't able to park in the carpark because it was so small. I think the room could have been a little cleaner in places. However, I would stay there again.
