The setting is a farm with animals, so it makes a refreshing change from urban life in Hong Kong. It is very conveniently located for Canterbury. The host does evening meals, and the service and food match most restaurants. If you want a gastropub lunch The Duck nearby is highly recommended.

Just stayed in a "Farmhouse" location close to Canterbury . Very friendly staff , great meals , clean / tidy / homely / various range of accomodation and a farm with varied , friendly animals .
And the two dogs immediately settled down and enjoyed the garden .

Will certainly visit again

Room Tip: Our location had facilities for wheelchair access and bathroom

Iffin farmhouse is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable and relaxed place with beautifully appointed rooms and a warm, friendly and welcoming team.

The huge amount of thought and effort that is put into every aspect of this place is plain to see. We stayed in the Pink Room which was comfortable and modern with some lovely touches, such as the little hand-made scrap book with all the local information in it.

The cooked breakfast was the best I've tasted in any place we've stayed (including 5 star places) and the service from Sarah and her team was friendly, helpful and non-intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble.

The farmhouse itself is located in beautiful grounds and we spent much time watching the Shetland Ponies, Dexter cows and Jacob Sheep as well as playing with the cats, dog and chickens! If you are an animal lover this is the place for you!

It is about a 10 minute drive from Canterbury (you absolutely must see the Cathedral if you visit) and is also close to a number of National Trust places. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough.

Thankyou so much for your wonderful review, it is so pleasing to hear that the execution and thought we place so much emphasis in our service upon being recognised in this way. The small touches, of course, we hope do go a long way towards making your stay as memorable as possible, and it is great to hear you say such complimentary things about our food and the service provided by all of our team. This is very much appreciated. We hope that you might visit us again with our ponies, cows, sheep, dogs and cats at sometime in the future, and also to enjoy further the local landmarks such as the Cathedral which provide Iffin Farmhouse with such an iconic location.

Iffin Farmhouse is wonderfully quaint, and a joy to behold as you first turn onto their property and are greeted by the ponies and the cows in their open field, right through to the unconventional check in when handed our keys and given directions to our room from the kitchen door. I highly recommend this location and only wish my wife and I had a few more days to savor the attached summer room next door to our cottage. Alas we were only there for one night and couldn't take advantage of everything that Iffin has to offer.

Room Tip: The cottage with its own summer room next the field with sheep in it.

Simple.
It was our first time away with our 12 week baby (first child). We needed a break and to test run Christmas. We've never been to Canterbury so this was a match made in heaven. I Trip Advised the local area and found Iffin Farmhouse. O
It looked great and the price was fair. On arrival we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. We were show to our cottage/room the Orchard pickers cottage with a separate room we could use next door. Not sure that's standard but I can see the advantage. The room was perfect for the three of us. We packed lite and brought our own travel cot. We were asked if we needed one so I'm also assuming they had one for us. It wasn't the Ritz but I didn't expect to be. It was clean and had a fully fitted kitchen to self cater. They had fresh milk in the fridge daily and we met the cow... Well we met A cow. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order in a very pleasing way. Beautiful fresh Kent apple juice and eggs off the farm. Off the beaten track quiet and peaceful. It's just what the doctor ordered for three tired Londoners.

Many thanks for your kind review of your stay with us at Iffin Farmhouse. It is very good to hear that you found the respite from the city in our lovely countryside retreat, and tha. As you say, our accommodation is very pleasant providing a homely atmosphere conducive to family breaks, but maybe not the Ritz; however, we provide wonderful fresh air, open spaces and the surroundings of livestock which provide some of the local produce which you found so pleasant which even the Ritz cannot! We pride ourselves upon the breakfast we provide, both in the sources used, and also the cooking, so it is also pleasing to hear that you found this to your liking. We do provide travel cots, were you to prefer to wish to pack even lighter. Hoping that you returned home refreshed and ready for city life again!
