We were in Canterbury for a sports event and happened to spot the cafe as we walked along the high street. It looked 'canny' as they say in the North East and distinctive too. The fact that our dog was welcomed too was the icing on the cake (). I ordered the Scioche (yes, a cross between scone and brioche) which was sublime and my partner went for the almond croissant, filled with tangy custard. Both were delicious and the accompanying lattes, strong and bold. Service was impeccable. A gem of a find and one we will return to for sure.

Very much a French cafe with a menue to reflect it. Very good sandwiches and a simple but good hot food range. The French style breakfast is outstanding and a great favourite any time?

This is such a charming cafe, with menus in French and English. The service was very friendly and efficient and we enjoyed quiche and salad. There is a great choice of light bites, snacks and desserts as well as some tempting specials. Highly recommended.

Gallic charm by the bucketload. Great coffee (particularly if you enjoy a really good black coffee), amazing mushroom and emmental croissant, delicious baguettes (current favourite is creamed spinach with goats cheese and a hint of chilli) and a good selection of pastries as you would expect from a French cafe.
Lovely bijou garden at the back. Always good service. Brilliant for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Thank Christopher R

It looked a nice place for a snack lunch, and it was. I had a salami baguette, full of meat, and all sorts of extras - lettuce, tomato, pickle etc. It was difficult to choose from the patisserie selection for a cake afterwards, and I reckon anything would have been a good choice. You can eat in the café, on the pavement outside, or in the garden.
