We have often visited this Italian restaurant since it was recommended to us over 10 years ago. But sadly things change and we all felt the menu and the food were lacking the taste and selection it used to offer. A very small menu and a specials board that wasn't really a list of specials but was is normally on the main menu. For starters the scallops were very tasty but the calamari was without flavour and chewy. No more of the delicious soups that used to be served here. The main courses offered minimal choices. The pasta once again only flavoured by the garlic and pepper almost missed being added into my bowl as the waitress leant across the table and almost missed it completely. The prawn and zucchini pasta had 3 prawns, the sea food pasta was awful. The meatballs were quite tasty however. Desserts are overpriced and when describing panna cotta with wild berries and there is only sauce and no sign of any berry for £8 I felt cheated.
Sorry Pinocchio's we are done and will find other Italian restaurants who continue to offer better food. So disappointed as we have stayed though the leaking conservatory roof so many times, we actually looked forward to it.

Six of us aged 10 to 70 all very satisfied. Excellent food, friendly and professional service. We were time limited and unable to try their delicious looking desserts.

Limited menu, but as we were a group of 6 we tried most options, all were lovely. The pasta was perfect, and all of the pasta dishes were delicious. The calzone was deemed superb.

Deserts were gorgeous, tirimasu and chocolate mouse, lovely. They had run out of the advertised Creme brûlée, but the replacement lemon cake belied it’s boring description, it was really special.

The staff were really friendly and very professional, a real find!

Well worth booking in advance, because it does get very busy and they don’t rush to turn the tables.

Just down the street from the Castle House Hotel where we stayed, we had a very enjoyable dinner at this cozy Italian restaurant. The food and service were outstanding.
