The definitive Royal Marines museum with so much for all the family - situated in the old officers mess this has a wealth of history for the Military arm of the Naval Service - uber interesting and so much to sea and view - highly recommended

Arrived 10am with great excitement and paid £2 to park the car. Two other vehicles did similar. Followed the signs on foot to the entrance only to see it is closed until 2020.

Well, Portsmouth City Council made a quick £6 as we all moved on. Maybe a sign saying closed BEFORE paying parking would be courteous. We're from the Midlands, so had no news about this. However, I have to agree with someones previous review - great shame it is moving from the barracks with its great history to the Dockyards.

Had a great time. Plenty to see. Just a shame it's closing as it's being moved into the Dockyard alongside all the other attractions. Looking forward to seeing the new Museum when it opens.

Visited a week before it closed. Lovely building and a very interesting museum. It is a long wait until the enlarged museum opens in Portsmouth Dockyard in 2020.
