“Fab place away from the normal day to day world”
Reviewed 29 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My hubby, dog and I had a fabulous break in the Lodge. 2 nights just wasn't enough, so will be returning soon for at least 3 nights. The local farm shop up the road does fantastic breakfasts and the local pubs cater for dinner, so we didn't worry that there was no cooker - in fact it was great we didn't have to cook! Bose system was awesome. Log fire very cosy, Bed extremely comfortable. Towels smelt lovely. Only downside, no wifi - this proved a problem when we arrived as we had work to finish, however overall it made us stop thinking about work and enjoy the break. Also we couldn't use hot tub as we hadn't anticipated in advance whether we'd need it or not. When it came to it, we wish we'd booked it, but it was too late. But not to worry, there was enough to do, or not to do! Fab relaxing break. Amazing walks and great being back to nature, with cows, ponies, sheep, pigs, rabbits, frogs, birds and donkeys. Thank you Paul/Ian (can't work out who owns it) Fab weekend in a superb lodge in a fab location.

“Lovely Cosy Lodge”
Reviewed 4 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Very enjoyable stay. Nice quiet location with lovely views from the lodge. The log gas fire was especially nice to curl up in front off at the end of a long day exploring the New Forest. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfy and provided a great nights sleep. There is a lovely pub within walking distance called the Old Beams Inn- very nice Sunday Carvery :)

“Warm and cosy”
Reviewed 31 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Returned from a 5 star break away at the forest lodge. Very warm and cosy! Spacious and clean. Very comfortable and lots of hi-tech gadgets to keep you busy.
The kids enjoyed watching the selection of dvds!
Lack of sink or oven in the kitchen was not a problem - we managed perfectly fine.

We were provided with a detailed brochure which was very helpful.

Enjoyed a meal at the Old Beams inn.
Visited a lovely icecream shop in Brockenhurst - Melt.
Moor Valley Park was well worth a visit as was Salisbury cathedral.

The ponies coming up to the lodge fence was delightful.
