“A comfortable cottage, with a lovely welcome pack on arrival”
Reviewed 21 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

When we arrived, the proprietor was waiting for us to show us round. She had baked a cake and left some cider. The cottage was thoughtfully decorated throughout, and every kitchen need was met. The back garden went right into the new forest, and the village situated close to main road for all the sightseeing within the county. The only down side was the signal for the telephone (EE) and the TV, which was quite bad, which meant we were unable to tune into any radio station. (Suggest you take a radio with you) I was also disappointed we could not open any windows as they were locked. A cottage that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, or return to in the future.

Management Response
22 Sep 2015
I am always very happy to receive feedback as this is the only way I can improve my clients holiday experience.

I do feel the need to say that windows in every room can be opened without the need of a key.

The smart TV can be tuned to improve the reception, I will ensure my guests are aware of this.

A radio has been purchased for the kitchen.

Many thanks for all your feedback.

“Home from home”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We received a warm welcome on our arrival and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The games room provided a good distraction from the rain whilst we were waiting to head out!

It was a perfect base for us as location wise, it's a 2 minute bike ride into the heart of the New Forest and away from the busy traffic.

“Lovely cottage, great location”
Reviewed 22 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed with our 4 year old and 7 month old. The cottage is excellent. The kitchen was well equipped - plenty of pots, pans, plates and cutlery so it was easy to self cater. We often bring a cafetiere with us on holiday, but forgot this time, so we were delighted to find there was both a cafetiere and proper coffee (coffee snobs). The mattresses were very comfy, and Jane provided a cot for the baby,. There are loads of great touches, from cake and cider on arrival to speedy wifi and board games.

The location is good. The centre of burley is a bit of a tourist trap, but has a nice fudge shop and decent ice creams. It's walkable, but would take a while with kids. There's easy access to walks in the new forest from the cottage. It's practically on a 4 mile loop round burley: http://www.newforestnpa.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/862/burley_village and Jane recommended a few nearby pubs for decent lunches.

Despite feeling like you're I'm the new forest, it's actually a short drive back to the A31. We had day trips to Winchester and the historic dockyards at Portsmouth.

“Wonderful cottage, great location, excellently equipped and lovely owner”
Reviewed 13 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Having a 2 year old daughter holiday cottages can be difficult to find to suit our needs with danger everywhere but after contacting Jane she confirmed it should be suitable and even organised a high chair and cot for us. My daughter had a great time here and the well fenced in garden meant she was safe outside and in.

The property is immaculate and very well located for exploring the New Forest and even heading in to Dorset. Great for a young active family.

Highly likely we will be back and that's saying something as i didn't think I would be able to get my wife away from the lake district every year.
