Reviewed 30 January 2014 for a stay in October 2013

Just what we needed a peaceful luxury break in a beautiful part of the Coltswolds.
The cottage is well equipped and designed to a high standard, has everything you could ask for.
Really looking forward to our return to celebrate my birthday.

“In a word - PERFECT”
Reviewed 25 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Set in a perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds and with the most perfect interior decoration from choice of paint colours to the high quality linen and soft furnishings and equipment this is a cottage that you can imagine owning yourself. Everything is spot on but the (electric) AGA makes the kitchen quintessentially Cotswolds and the 3D Samsung FS TV with Blu-Ray player is a nice touch ( and Netflix is available) as is the good solid free WiFi (phone reception for O2 is rather hit or miss but thats great as nothing better than to have a good excuse why those work calls never got though)! Best of all (in the winter) is the REAL log fire and this is very simple to use and logs and kindling are provided free of any extra charge.
Sarah who owns the property lives very nearby and so is on hand for problems should they arise (which they don't). She is delightful it has to be said and very approachable and very kind when it come to sending forgotten cables and chargers for iPhones back!!
There is a small out door area which would catch the sun in the evening in summer so would be nice for a sun downers in the summer There is also a parking slot for one car.
Needless to say the place is pin clean and the kitchen has everything that you need to cook decent dinners. All in all just fab and we have booked our next visit. If you want a romantic hideaway for two in the Cotswolds this is your best bet to be sure.

“Wonderful bolt hole in the prettiest village”
Reviewed 8 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We have just spent a wonderful four nights at Yew Tree Cottage, and it has to be the best self catering experience I have ever had.

The house itself is gorgeous, with a lovely kitchen/diner, adjoining living room, then an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is v well equipped with an aga, cafetiere, microwave, washing machine and dryer and plenty of crockery. Sarah also provides a small carton of milk, coffee, biscuits and tea, which is most welcome. The underfloor heating in the kitchen is wonderful.

The living room has two comfy sofas, a good size tv, board games and a lovely log burner. I emailed ahead to ask if there was a DVD player as we were hoping to catch up on films, and Sarah kindly added a DVD/Blu ray player.

The bedroom is lovely and cosy with lovely bedding and a wardrobe. The pillows are plump, so take your own if you prefer a flat pillow.

The bathroom is large and has a lovely roll top bath. It's super relaxing.

The cottage is super clean which is a major plus point. It is decorated beautifully in the country style, and everything works perfectly - no creaking floorboards, no squeaky door hinges...everything works well. It is perfect for a romantic getaway - we had a ten month old baby with us which worked great.

The village is very picturesque. Unfortunately we didn't get round to taking a walk around, but it is very pretty. We loved cream tea at Daylesfield Organic farm, wandering around Stow on the Wold, and antiquing in Tetbury.

One thing that would be even more amazing is if there were a couple of fluffy robes in the wardrobe for true lounging about, but it's hands-down 10/10 for this beautiful bolt-hole in the countryside.
