This place has a huge range on the menu and their prosecco deal on a Friday is worth a trip down there. The menu is all reasonably priced, but we have found the service to be lacking. Having been in here a few times, the service can be friendly and quick, however more often than not the bar staff seem disinterested - perhaps they are distracted by their mates who always seem to be propping up the bar. Not bad if you fancy a quick bite to eat or a drink. Decor needs updating a bit as it's looking a little tired.

We went here for lunch. The place looks very appealing and so does the food. But it took very very long before we got our food, there where only 2 other tables with visitors but still it took over 45 minutes before we got our food which were some very simple dishes, sandwiches and salads.
The food tastes great! Really good food!
But the service was very slow and the toilets where very dirty, we told the staff and they pointed out the ladies could use the mens toilet but we had problems with the door. Hygiene not so good..

An old comfortable pub, with very friendly and helpful staff. Central to Stroud town. Good range of hot drinks too that are well presented.

After taking in the beautifully rustic exterior, you enter to find a mix of modern bar and classic pub. The fittings and furniture hark back to times past yet the decor and colour scheme give it a lot of life and are done to a fine standard.

The staff are always friendly and more than happy to help with anything, with drinks and food being served in a timely manner, often exceeding expectation!

The food is not what you'd typically expect from a pub, it is much better and more interesting; with delicious items on the menu that are in keeping with its pub roots. Come in for burger night on a Wednesday!! Such a bargain!
