Nice pub in a pretty little village. Really good Sunday roast. We walked from Painswick after walking up to the beacon and it was a great pub to stop and eat in. There’s outdoor seating with a nice view of the surrounding hills.

Only thing that could be better is the service was a little slow. Overall though really nice lunch.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch. All of our meals came out hot and at the same time. We had roast beef and the portions were plentiful. A nice selection of deserts and although only one was ordered it was delicious . Beautiful pub in a superb location,we will visit again

Popped in here for at lunchtime a few days ago just on the off chance for a quick bite to eat and was grateful that we did .
This pub has everything you want to call it a great English pub.
Friemdly barman including a friendly local at the bar .
Great range of beers on tap for a pub out of the main drag a good extensive food menu , I had the sausage sandwich which was superb , un fortunately due to the excellent range of mustards and sauses on offer I have just spent £20 on ordering some .
Decore is typical old style pub and the bar and dining areas are extensive and welcoming . Ample parking areas and a nice beer garden .
If you can brave the small country lanes to get here it's a must.

Visited this charactor pub with family for Sunday Lunch . Very busy but extensive menu with good range including Roasts incl Veggie option. Historic building with some interesting local history info and pictures. Good seating both i and outside. Good selection of Ales and wines. Very busy and mistimed arrival as very busy and had to wait. Food worth the wait.
