I took my 6-year-old for a visit as he's obsessed with penguins. We weren't disappointed! Lots to see and do and a great size for a child of that age. Parking is easily accessible and being able to get a stamp to come and go to the car park meant we didn't have to carry everything with us.
Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

We chose a really wet cold day to come but we did enjoy everything. So loved the penguins especially the one who had the mating call. Bless him he was so entertaining. Hope Molly has her new feathers really soon as it seemed everyone felt so sorry for her. She looked sad. . All the birds had large enclosures and seemed well looked after too. Please support and visit this place it well worth it.

I hadn't looked on the website for this before visiting. We knew it was there, saw the sign and walked up there. For some reason in my mind I had expected just a few birds but I was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful selection of exotic birds. Including king penguins - the only collection of them in Britain. So I was thrilled! Firstly we attended the penguin talk which was fascinating, comical and very well executed. We had a 5 year old with us who was giggling all the way through. Other favourites were the flamingos and pelicans. The enclosures were very well thought out, the signage was very informative and the collection of birds was wonderful. It was really nice to see a young child become so interested in birds.
We also enjoyed the Jurassic walk with dinosaurs and I (a person in my 30s) actually learned a lot more about dinosaurs! It was an unexpected find and although quite small, we easily spent around 3 hours there.
Our life basically revolves around visiting animal and outdoor attractions and bird land exceeded my expectations. Would definitely recommend.

This was a cute way to spend a few hours.

There’s a lot of fun areas for small children if you have kids eg Jurassic dinosaur area.

We really enjoyed being up close to the King penguins! Incredible. The flamingoes were amazing too. 4/5

Small-ish space with very nice birds. Favorites were the penguins and flamingoes. Quite a small area so able to cover in slightly over an hour. Good if you have young kids.
