I visited with a friend for a Spa Day after staying just up the road at Milsoms Hotel.
We had an amazing massage on arrival, then had the pool house to ourselves for a few hours in the sunshine. We then had a brilliance facial - it was wonderful. We finished off with a delicious afternoon tea (‘out of this world’ freshly cooked scones) as it started to snow!
A truly fantastic spa day.
Every member of staff was extremely attentive and helpful - highly recommended.

I returned home from this amazing hotel this morning & could not wait to leave a review.
Wow just Wow !! I booked this trip for my Mum's Birthday as a overnight spa & i can not believe what a little gem we have found . From the moment we arrived we were treated fantastically nothing is to much trouble here . We had two treatments each in the hotel spa these were the best facials & massages we have ever had we even tried to book more treatments in before we left but unfortunately they were fully booked . The room we had was luxurious comfortable & very pretty the beds were extremely comfy the huge bath tub was so inviting. The food & drinks here are equally as good as the rest of the hotel we had a ploughman's lunch with wine and banana sundaes (the walnut ice cream is to die for ) . The hot tub at the pool house was very warm we sat in it for over a hour with a glass of wine after our spa treatments whilst it was snowing .We had dinner at le talbooth & were driven in the Range rover by the lovely Darren the food was again nothing short of amazing . Breakfast was extremely good for a hotel i had haddock with poached eggs on a muffin . We left this place totally relaxed and totally happy in the amazing time we had. All in all we are so happy to have found this amazing hotel & cannot wait for our next visit (which we shall be making a bit longer next time ) I could not even if i tried find anything bad to say about this place it is HEAVEN !!!

The staff here are excellent and are dog friendly. Dogs not allowed in dining areas though so room service was the only option for us.

This was nice and dealt with with a succession of deliveries rather than all at one go.

The room itself was large and comfortable. Wifi was as simple as saying connect. Good selection of hot beverages as well as some mineral water. Despite the writers theme to the room name, the decor was very much a tribute to the Fab4.

The en-suite shower room had an excellent walk-in shower and plenty of good quality toiletries. Towels were of excellent quality and plentiful. Bath robes were also provided.

The only small issue was the heating. It worked very well but controlling the heat took a bit of work as most of it eminated from the en-suite, but we eventually solved this by closing the door to this.

Breakfast had a small selection of cereals, and coffee came in jugs delivered to the table. The poached eggs were a bit overcooked but otherwise the food was good.

The grounds were well maintained but it would have been nice to have a bin outside into which to place our dogs little leavings rather than having to bring it back to the room.

Overall a really nice place.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Maison Talbooth. What a superb set-up these guys have created.

The grounds as you pull in are wonderful, the hotel is set off a very quiet country road with great views of the dedham vale. As we walked up to the doors, we were greeted by one of the very attentive staff who opened the door and checked us in.

We stayed in the room 'Shelly'. Wonderful room, again, great views situated on the 1st floor in the corner of the house. Large bathroom with freestanding bath and large rainforest type shower. The rooms all have full sky TV and well stocked mini bar so nice place to relax for a few hours when you are away without the kids.

We spent our afternoons in the pool house sitting outside by the large log fire. My wife enjoyed the jacuzzi which the staff promptly opened when we indicated we were heading down there. In the pool house they operate a self-service honesty bar which works really well and saves you waiting around for drinks from the main house, well stocked and everything you need. My wife used the spa and had a hot stone massage which she thoroughly enjoyed.

We dined at both the talbooth and milsoms. Enjoyed both meals very much. Talbooth being the far more formal option and milsoms is far more relaxed. Extensive wine lists so plenty of options to indulge in. The hotel actually also operates a courtesy car service to and from their local restaraunts which is another great touch that makes getting to and from effortless.

In summary, we will certainly be returning to Maison Talbooth. The staff cannot do enough for you and the set-up is fantastic. I would highly recommend booking a stay here and taking advantage of the beautiful grounds and facilities the hotel have to offer!

Thanks v much guys!
Jack and Laura.

Room tip: get a room at the front corner of the house.
