“Great Location!”
Reviewed 24 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Wanted to stay somewhere central and this was perfect - 3 night stay and 3 great restaurants right on the doorstep! The cottage had a comfortable bed, a hot shower and all we needed in the kitchen. Thanks Richard for the restaurant recommendations - we really enjoyed our stay.

“Delightful!”
Reviewed 13 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

A delightful little cottage with everything you would need. And the courtyard garden had the sun all afternoon, so after a morning of exploring and a tasty lunch out it was so relaxing to plonk ourselves in the garden and relax.
Chesterfield cottage is in a great position and we even managed to get a parking space right outside the front door to unload the car and although we were only permitted to stay there for 2 hours some people left their cars there over night! But the carpark is minutes away and very reasonable at £1.50 for 24 hours.
Love to come back again.

“Charming Cottage in a charming location”
Reviewed 23 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

A perfect base for staying in Rye, all the facilities you could want for a self-catering break, the only exception being the absence of wi-fi access, which would have been nice to have. Apart from that, very good - comfortable, quirky and an excellent location.

“Cute cosy cottage in an excellent central location”
Reviewed 18 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I visited for a week with my Mum. The cottage is exactly as shown in the photographs and is as to be expected given its age and building styles when it was built small but contains everything you could need. It is on 3 floors with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom, the shower is particularly good and it is well presented and was very clean.
The location is perfect for exploring the pretty town of Rye with lots of lovely pubs, coffee shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.
I would definitely recommend unless you have particular problems with steep stairs in which case you may struggle but it was perfect for us.
Richard was especially good at replying to messages and ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay.
