Almost didn't want to review this....as wanted to keep it a secret for myself! Comforts and history in one....location is perfect for shops or like me....watching world go by from lounge window...wonderful facilities...spend siesta time in jacuzzi...sleep warm and comfortable at night in cosines...I recommend this...leave your car in car park and get train and bus to local towns,as train station 5 mins walk....or spend days in rye, morning coffees, afternoon cream teas,in town or quayside....all less than 5 mins walk....either direction...I could see why people come and stay then end up living here in rye....this holiday rental is a good start and you'll find you want to come back as I was so comfortable...I ended up pretending I lived in rye...this house made me feel like already did...so yes I recommend this thoroughly...like I said wanted to keep it a secret as I'm hoping it'll be free when I book next time! Thank you Sally and family!
We enjoyed a lovely long weekend here. Perfect location for exploring the town, restaurants and local walks to Winchelsea. Cosy with Lovely jacuzzi and open fire - a good find! We would recommend this place and will be back!
I booked the Quarter House as a last minute seaside surprise for my husband and two year old. We had a wonderful time in Rye and Camber Sands was a fantastic surprise, a beautiful beach only a couple of hours from London. We all enjoyed our stay at the Quarter House which was perfect for our needs, it was very comfortable and clean and right in the heart of the town. We had a wonderful two days and Sally made us feel very welcome, I would highly recommend this lovely little place.
Right at the bottom end of the High St (called The Mint) the accommodation is perfect for walking to anywhere in Rye. It is equipped well and very clean. We made use of the jacuzzi bath a few times during the week. Sally, who lives next door, is very friendly. Rye itself is a great find - plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs. We really liked the wine bar next to Webbes Fish Cafe.
