Description: One of the cosiest, liveliest little pubs in Brighton. With 30 years of music and performance history, the new owners Ben & Chris are pleased to continue the tradition! And with a new kitchen now at full throttle, the return to great food is here too - whats not to love!

Have had mid week burgers here a couple of times and they have been perfect - served in a brioche bun with a nice side salad and crispy, triple cooked chips. A real bargain for £7.50; especially in Hanover. Have also eaten a rib roast beef for a Sunday Lunch and that was very good too - tender meat and crispy roast potatoes.

They've also just introduced a small tapas/ snack menu which looked inviting.

Really worth a visit.

Booked 1pm for a 3pm table for two. Harvey's Best was spot on. Bar staff friendly knowledgeable and attentive. Nice choice of red wines we could try at a good price. Roast was amazing with beef ribeye perfectly cooked, the star of the show, crispy roast potatoes and big Yorkshire Puddings with plenty of veggies. Chef came out and asked if everything okay. Apologised that extra cauliflower cheese was gone but gave us the gooey last of it for free and it was great! Best we've tried in Brighton and we'd been losing the will. Highly recommended!

I see few changes which are nice now. I would love to come back. Live music on some Wednesday. Friendly staff. Takes cards, no minimum limit.

A nice pub, with a couple of decent beers, pleasant to sit in, although seemed very quiet when we visited on a Saturday evening. Didnt eat, the menu looked a little limited though?

I have frequented The Greys many times over the years to listen to local bands and world renown singer songwriters and musicians. Love the atmosphere there and the beer. We happened to pop into The Greys yesterday for a late lunch. Bar staff very friendly. We ordered one beef and one veggie burger. Would we eat there again? Nope. Patties were thin and flanked in a huge Brioche could have been fresher bun, the veggie Pattie was a but of a mush and burnt in places. Did we give immediate feedback? Nope. We were so hungry we would have eaten my granny's arm, so we had eaten most of it, and my partner isn't one to make a fuss. Was the meal good value? Nope. £10.50 was a lot to pay for a small burger and triple cooked chips and salad. My advice - increase the burger portion, serve American fries (not many venues do - it's all about potato wedges these days) add a few tomatoes to the salad and either reduce cost to £8.95 or £10.50 with a small ice cream milkshake. The Greys is an awesome pub - the food quality will need to shift up quite a few gears to match its musical reputation.
