Description: One of the cosiest, liveliest little pubs in Brighton. With 30 years of music and performance history, the new owners Ben & Chris are pleased to continue the tradition! And with a new kitchen now at full throttle, the return to great food is here too - whats not to love!

A nice pub, with a couple of decent beers, pleasant to sit in, although seemed very quiet when we visited on a Saturday evening. Didnt eat, the menu looked a little limited though?

I have frequented The Greys many times over the years to listen to local bands and world renown singer songwriters and musicians. Love the atmosphere there and the beer. We happened to pop into The Greys yesterday for a late lunch. Bar staff very friendly. We ordered one beef and one veggie burger. Would we eat there again? Nope. Patties were thin and flanked in a huge Brioche could have been fresher bun, the veggie Pattie was a but of a mush and burnt in places. Did we give immediate feedback? Nope. We were so hungry we would have eaten my granny's arm, so we had eaten most of it, and my partner isn't one to make a fuss. Was the meal good value? Nope. £10.50 was a lot to pay for a small burger and triple cooked chips and salad. My advice - increase the burger portion, serve American fries (not many venues do - it's all about potato wedges these days) add a few tomatoes to the salad and either reduce cost to £8.95 or £10.50 with a small ice cream milkshake. The Greys is an awesome pub - the food quality will need to shift up quite a few gears to match its musical reputation.

The pub was taken over a month or so ago. It is brighter, cleaner, has a new paint job, good staff, great beers (ever changing apart from Harvey's), great roasts on Sundays and gourmet burgers all week. This pub is even more cosy and welcoming than ever and deserves to get more locals and passers by giving it a well earned try. In fact, I'm writing this in the pub.

We had no problems with our drinks or our food this bank holiday.
Would highly recommend this family pub.
Why complain about something so petty. & leave a bad review . you obviously dont get out much.
If you dont like something then ask for it to be changed.
Dont hide behind a review site crying as there wasnt a quiz you could take part in....
These people are running a service for adults.......
get a GRIP. life is to short.

Went in for the start of the quiz.....first drinks a Bacardi and diet coke, no problem. Second drink gin and tonic, filled to the brim with tonic from an already open plastic bottle. No quiz, no more drinks, never again.....the Geese thirty yards away were rammed, they were'nt.....wonder why?
