We stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend when the hotel was full. Although a number of rooms seemed quite luxurious we opted for a cheaper, small double, ‘Maia’, at the back of the hotel. It was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee- making facilities, good towels and bathrobes and White Company toiletries. The staff were very helpful, adding porridge to the breakfast menu at my request and arranging a taxi during a particularly heavy downpour. The bar in the hotel is cosy. I would say that the room still felt expensive for the size and outlook but I guess that just reflects Brighton’s popularity.
