Took a deal here for DB&B and upgraded to a Mal Club sea view.
Really spacious room with outside communal terrace, comfy bed and well decorated and furnished with the exception of poor storage space, there are lots of open areas in the room just crying out for some extra storage, if your staying more than 2 nights your clothes will stay in your bags,
Staff are really friendly and nothing seems too much trouble, the restaurant was comfortable and the food reasonable but the "Autumn Menu" was limited so rather than go a la-carte we ate out one night, just a personal choice others may find this OK.
The breakfast is good but would recommend upgrading from continental to the full menu its £2.00 more and well worth the money.
The hotel location is great with free parking a bonus, Brighton centre is a either a nice long walk or a short cab ride away, there is also the Volks railway but closed for refurbishment at the moment.
There are lots of places to eat and drink at the marina but it becomes a bit of a ghost town after about 20.00 this time of year, can recommend the food at Coast to Coast beneath the hotel.
Would definitely return.

Great Hotel. Clean and warm. Loads of places to eat roundabout. We did not eat at the Hotel. Tess the Receptionist was very good. Could have done with more storage space.Dressing gowns and slippers were a bonus.Nice sized room facing inland.

The room was very comfortable and immaculately clean, but has no storage and not even a rail for your wet towel. The service was also surprisingly average for £160/night hotel. It was all very casual on arrival, and when I asked for the toilets the women on reception just pointed and didn’t even look up! If you’re charging those prices you are going to have high expectations and unfortunately they weren’t met.

For a room that cost 250 pounds for a single night I would expect better.
Granted it had a small balcony, lovely view and is very peaceful.
The room was cold and no amount of turning up the thermostat seemed to make a difference.
In a spacious room it was a shame that the table/desk is built in where you can't see the tv easily.
No drawers to put clothes away. There is a small wardrobe but otherwise just racking.
The shower looked very promising but only had any pressure when cold. I also heard another lady say the same at reception.
Breakfast not inc.in price.
Breakfast was chaos. The staff were lovely but unable to cope. Waited 40 mins for decaf tea and toast that was cold.
Bed very comfortable and staff helpful and pleasant.
Feel it's very overpriced
