We stumbled across this little restaurant a few weeks ago & decided to book for a friends birthday last night. I must admit I was slightly dubious after reading mixed reviews on here. However, it was great!!!! We booked the early sitting and the restaurant was full and had a great vibrant atmosphere. We ordered the seafood paella and quite a few tapas dishes and were not disappointed with any of them. The entertainment was good. Will definitely be returning and telling our friends to come here too.

Food was OK but a couple of minor gripes, Camembert deep fried cubes with honey wasn’t Camembert, the waiter did state this at the time of ordering, however I did ask if the cheese was goats cheese and he said not. Unfortunately it had the hint of goats cheese which I find personally disgusting, so trades description act applies here on two counts.

Secondly you need to book if dining after 7:00 in the evening, it fills up from nothing very quickly.

Thirdly all the food does not come up piping hot which we would have preferred along with warm or hot plates for the food to be placed on for eating.

To summarise:

Food was nice
Friendly and pleasant atmosphere
Sangria was perfect
Sort out the cheese!
Keep stuff hot

Limited menu and food was quite disappointing. No mixed paella, choice is either chicken or seafood not both. Some of the tapas were quite small portions. The entertainment was probably the best thing of the evening. Service not that great.

We revisited this restaurant last week early one Saturday evening.
We hadn't booked, staff were very accommodating and allocated us a table next to the bar.
We had Tapas choices, all seemed warmed up and not as tasty as before perhaps we were too early I am not sure.
Prices & value for money seemed more expensive as well, e.g. one of the dishes is a cheese dish: Tabla de Queso which was literally a few sliced cold pieces of mild cheese no garnish or anything for £7.95 plus £5.75 for a little bread and a few olives!
Entertainment was better though with a group consisting of one male dancer, one last singer-dancer and a drummer very good, they made up for the disappointing food.
We saw quite a few people having the both the meat and seafood Paellas which perhaps we should have chosen instead?
Looking at a few people plates they seemed to be leaving some of their food, we also noticed that people were leaving quite quickly which surprised after last visit when they were queuing out of the door!
Shame because we love this restaurant and the live entertainment and recommend to everybody we know, perhaps we should now be more careful?
Let’s hope they sort this out so that we can return soon!

We stumbled on this restaurant a few years back and it's become our goto place when in Brighton. Authentic Spanish food at reasonable prices. Our favourite is a selection of tapas dishes and a large paella to share.
