Small menu but nice choices. The staff are very keen to make sure everything is ok. Food was really good and they were keen for feedback. I would go again as long as they vary their menus

Visited yesterday and noticed a huge change. Whilst the food was really tasty, the menu options were really limited and the portions tiny. We struggled to find what we wanted to eat in what is now a sort of Mexican tapas menu. Great food but too hungry after eating to go back

Hey Roz,

Firstly, thanks for revisiting us at Halisco.

We have made some changes to the menu in terms of refining it and focusing on quality over quantity.

Although we have reduced the quantity per plates, we've reduced the prices as well. We really want people to enjoy more of the menu and flavours on offer.

Between you and your dining partner, you did only order 1 small plate each. You had 2 fish tacos, and your dining partner a short rib burro. In general we recommend 3-4 plates per person depending on how hungry you are!

I do hope you'll return and try more of the menu on offer in the future.

Ismaeel

I was part of a large group and the team made space for us then when we couldn't decide what to try just have them a free reign to surprise us. And boy, did they? The coated corn, the crispy pork, the tacos, the smoked cheese and mushroom bites... Every mouthful was delicious. I will be fantasizing about that meal for a long time to come and will most definitely be back when I next visit Brighton. Cracking atmosphere too.

We found this place by chance looking for somewhere to eat during our weekend away in Brighton for work.

The guys are attentive but not annoying, service spot on and quick to recommend but not oversell.

The food was delicious and a good selection of veggie food too. Cocktails amazing, maybe stay away from the HOT sauce though unless you’re brave!

Definately pay this place a visit if you’re in town so glad we found it!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! We went in on a Friday night at short notice (although we did book - you prob won't get in as a walk in when they're busy) and ordered pretty much the entire menu, which some places would be annoyed about, but these guys seemed more impressed than anything which was lovely! The food was amazing - our favourites were the croquettes and the rib burrito. We also got some delicious lemonade that should be on the menu! Everything is really reasonably priced, and the portion sizes were spot on. Ali, Ismaeel and Mo made us feel so welcome and seemed like really nice guys, and it's good knowing that you're spending money in an independent place where the owners and staff really seem to care about the level of service that they're providing. There's tons of personality in the place and I would definitely recommend and go back myself.

Thank Alex M
