We chose this property for a break with 7 yr old grand daughter in Easter holidays. The lodge far exceeded our expectations. It is much more spacious than we imagined and cleanliness and decor superb. The position is good as lodge is private and screened at the back where the hot tub is situated with a lovely decking area backing onto open countryside. Swanage is very family friendly with plenty to amuse young children and Bournemouth and Weymouth nearby plus Monkey World and we also liked the Blue Pool at Wareham.
Ron the friendly owner met and showed us around and explained how things worked.
We would love to visit again and would recommend
Had a terrific time at Lavender Leap. The boys loved the train ride into Swanage, the hot tub and the 3D tv. So much wildlife to watch too. Thanks Ron and Sue for a lovely relaxing week. Hope to come again soon. Craig and Jane Hutchins.
We had a wonderful week here, spotlessly clean, lovely hot tub. The dishwasher packed up and the owner went and bought another one to fit, Ron was always on hand if you needed anything. The views over the field sat in the helicopter chair was lovely, later in the week we had friendly cows there too. The steam railway stop was lovely down the road to go into Swanage on too. There is nothing you could do to better this amazing place what ever your age.
We had a lovely week at Lavender Leap; everything we needed was there and it's a light, airy, beautifully designed and decorated cabin with new, efficient equipment and fittings.
We enjoyed the hot tub, the garden, the views and the birds; there's a small campsite shop very close by for basics, and you can walk the mile and a half into Swanage or around the country lanes and fields straight from the cabin. Ron and Jan were very helpful and close at hand if needed.
I would highly recommend Lavender Leap for people of all ages, for a relaxing and restful break.
Well where do I start?! When my family arrived we were greeted by Ron and his wife Ann who were so friendly and welcoming! Ron was a lovely man who showed us where everything was and how all the gadgets worked as well as making frequent visits during our stay to check on us/see if we needed anything more.
The lodge itself was beautifully decorated and had everything that you would need for a fabulous stay; even down to the bedding smelling of softener (a lovely homely touch)! The kitchen is fantastic and our family definitely made use of the gas BBQ on an evening whilst enjoying the games that we found in the cupboard!
The hot tub was an added bonus that we all definitely had a cheeky dip in at night. The added decking at the back with the hammock chairs was fantastic and allowed you to take in the views of the fields. My Mum in particular enjoyed sitting out in the morning trying to spot all the different birds and wildlife.
I personally could not fault this place. The owner, the setting, the facilities and the surrounding amenities were absolutely fantastic and I'm desperately trying to convince my parents to book our next family break to here!
