Description: If you're after something a little quirky but great fun then you won't be disappointed with The Blue Raddle. The Raddle is an intimate community pub frequented by local characters, famous for the ales and Landlady concocted meals on offer. The wine and other beverage selection isn't bad either! As if a visit to The Raddle isn't entertaining enough there are regular folk and Irish style music nights as well as a wacky charity meat draw every Friday evening and a quiz featuring quizmaster The Creative Accountant at the turn of every fiscal quarter. The Raddle is the home of 'laughter on tap'!

We have been a couple of times recently. This time I thought I would add a review. The beer is always excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. My wife and her work colleague have been taking part in veganjanuary. So they were all looking for something from the very extensive menu. I had the steak ale and mushroom pie, which came with chips and peas which was hot and full of flavour. I could not fault it. The others went for either the vegetable goulash, or vegetable shepards pie or meat loaf. They all shared a bowl of vegetables which as the main courses were hot. They all enjoyed their main courses, as all the plates were empty at the end. All I can add that the atmosphere is brilliant, the food reasonably priced. Rick and Chris do an excellent job and the regulars always give you a warm welcome. We will return

Thanks to Trip Advisor we found this little gem. Popped in just after lunch for a pint just to check it out, we weren't disappointed a great selection of draft beers and many ciders. Greeted by the landlady and made very welcome had a pint of Otter and looked at the very extensive menu with well over 40 different dishes all home made with great choice for all tastes. We're told it gets busy if we wanted a table it was best to book so we did luckily. Arrived just before 7 to fine quite a few people in the pub, ordered 2 chicken and ham pies, 1 steak and kidney pie, and a macaroni
cheese with garlic bread. It arrived pipping hot and delicious. Had a couple of pints as well, food and drinks were very reasonable priced. Please don't refurbish or change the name, as this pub will go on forever, unlike many other pubs around the country. The pub filled up during the evening with many eating and loads of drinkers, all very pleasant no music, no fruit machines and mature drinkers, and no body smoking outside the front door.

Quite small inside and clearly a local's pub. It was oddly pleasant, like being in someone's living room. Lots of beers, pleasant welcome, good food (Plenty of vegetarian choice). Happy to come again. CASH ONLY.
