Lovely pub with a varied menu. Carvery had plenty of choice, 2 meats and crispy roasties. Would definitely recommend the hake with chorizo and kale, very flavoursome. Only criticism would be more kale please! Booking advised as can get very busy.

What else can one say? The beef on this occasion was medium to well done - as I like. Apart from their rare off days, this place takes a lot of beating if you don't want to be too posh.

Popped in on my way through at lunchtime. Wanted something quick. After a look at the menu I couldn’t decide on whether I wanted the prawn baguette or the turkey club sandwich. I went turkey and wasn’t disappointed. It was delicious and comes with a generous portion of well cooked chips and a tasty side salad. I do use the sun inn quite a lot and all ways find the staff very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to anyone that they give it try.

Three of us visited at lunchtime and had three different meals.
The first meal was the carvery and the beef was inedible, very tough and chewy. The vegetables and roast potatoes were good. / The second meal was a club sandwich, which should have 3 slices of toast making two layers, (turkey with mayonnaise and bacon), but it was not what was expected. Only two slices of bread were provided and I had expected the turkey to be in slices with a light spread of mayonnaise, instead it was shredded turkey mixed with a lot of mayonnaise, a bit like tuna mayonnaise and instead of the bacon being in the second layer of sandwich it was simply laying on top of the salad garnish. The third meal was a barbecue shredded pork ciabatta which was fine. The waitress was pleasant and attentive and when she asked at the end "Was everything okay?", we explained our findings, she apologised and said she would inform the Chef.

1st time going here just fancied a change as we always go to the trumpet major. The service here from the waitresses is fantastic always happy to help and very bubbly with a smile the carvery was great the only thing I would say is be nice to have a bit more variety on veg as I didn’t like the roast beetroot and the Swede had a really strong taste .. def go back again x
