What an awesome place. I have just returned from the Applewood Hotel after my stag weekend. We wanted a hotel that wasnt expensive but offered us good value for money and a creature comforts. As most of our party was in there 30's we are all accustomed to nice surroundings and Nigel and his team delivered on all counts.
On Arrival at the hotel Nigel showed us round and checked the rooms were adequate which they all were, his bar was fully stocked and very reasonably priced. We ended up staying at the hotel for a fair few drinks as it was so welcoming!!
The Breakfast was a1 and the full english is worth getting up for. They also arent scared if u ask for an extra rasher of bacon or your eggs sunny side down!!
We were cautious as both nights we where there we were in fancy dress the second night dressed as smurfs in blue paint. Nigel assisted us and never got funny with what we were doing..
Downsides - None!!!
This hotel may be a 5 minute walk further than some other hotels but at the price you pay its worth it. I look forward to coming again with my partner as i was so impressed!!
