Good value for the money , considering that the hotel is rated just 2 star. Swimming pool , sauna and jacuzzi included in the price .Friendly staff with good customer skills . Pampering service offered on request by a lovely lady called Katie .Strongly recommended .

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as our niece was holding her wedding reception there. When we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman who was very friendly and welcoming but when he was showing us to our room it was quite dark in some of the corridors and he told us that at this time of year they were thinking of different ways to cut down on bills, not something I would have thought you should be sharing with guests. We were in room number 6 which had a double bed and a single bed which was right in front of the window and it was a tight squeeze to open and close the curtains. The bathroom was a bit of a disaster, it had a bath and a shower you had to hold up yourself and the tap leaked everywhere! The hot tap on the sink wobbled and the floor was quite dirty. Breakfast was good but not brilliant, the young lad who was the waiter did an excellent job and I couldn't fault him apart from forgetting our toast on our 2nd morning but he did seem to be the only person on duty most of the time. The wedding reception was lovely and again the young lad who was on duty at breakfast was on duty again behind the bar, bringing the buffet out etc., he was still on duty when I went to bed at 1.00am and up again to serve breakfast the next morning. If you want your hotel to work please pay more attention to the hotel guests instead of your spa and also please don't allow the residents in from the apartments across the car park who tried to take food and sweets from the wedding reception, they were stopped once by hotel staff and once by myself. Also I am afraid our room wasn't cleaned or our bed made while we stayed. This could be a lovely little hotel if some attention was paid to it.

Room Tip: Unless they make improvement I am afraid I could not recommend any

The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to check in early without any fuss. The room had everything - TV, kettle, etc. The decor was a little jaded and the bathroom a bit cheerless.
Having a free swimming pool was a big plus - this was open from 7.30 in the morning. The pool was smallish but deep enough to swim back and forth comfortably.
Breakfast started at 8.30 which I thought was a bit late.
The hotel is near enough the station and Torre Abbey to be able to walk there and back.

Held our wedding here mid August. Booked rooms for our guests and then held our day and evening reception here. The staff could not do enough to help us and the service of our 3 course wedding breakfast was seamless. The rooms were comfortable and large. We and all our guests had a wonderful weekend and cannot thank the hotel and staff enough for making our special occasion so memorable.
