Myself, partner, two children under 5 and then in laws stayed here for 6 nights at the beginning of June. We had a fantastic time. The hotel is located a lovely 10 minutes walk to the seafront with a bus stop outside, Although we never had the need to use it. Their is also a lovely family pub about 5 minutes walk away which was mice on an evening. We stayed half board and the food was great, very plentiful and good options. As a vegetarian their was a nice selection. The swimming was fantastic, the pool was lovely and warm which was great. Their is also a lovely enclosed outdoor area with a nice selection of toys for the younger children which was fantastic at meal times as was right by the restaurant. The st add were all really friendly and helpful. Will definately stay again.

Just returned from a 1 night last min stay with our dog.this is a highly recommended place to stay if you need to take your best friend they are very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is very clean and rooms furnished well. Breakfast was excellent and veggies well catered for. Swimming pool was very clean and my wife had it all to herself first thing in the morning. There is a free carpark and bus stop right outside the door. The walk to the sea front is flat and easy going passing through torr abbey. Highly recommended we will be going back hopefully sooner than later.

Just got back from a one night stay at this hotel.
I wrote to them really late at night way back in early march about rooms for 12 people. They were very prompt at getting back to me. I was dealing with mark at first and he explained deposits and all hotel facilities.
It was made very easy for me as i had to get money together and he was very understanding.
In the last few weeks i phoned a few times about checking in and asking about what rooms were available so i could sort who would share with who. This time i was speaking to stuart who was very helpful and happy to help.
Once we got to torquay we went to the hotel where stuart was very helpful telling us where to go while we were there. I stayed in room 1 which was very spacious with big windows with a great view of torquay it had two separate rooms and a bathroom. There is a little bar with a outdoor area where you can enjoy a drink in the sun.
The breakfast is very tasty and a good range of choices.
Its only a short walk to the town and the train station.
Will defiantly stay again

I arrived in Torquay by train, for a wedding at Torre Abbey. The location is superb, 5 minutes walk from the station & 5 minutes from the Abbey. The hotel is a Victorian Villa, with my room & en suite, being large, light & airy, having all the facilities that you need & I enjoyed a great nights sleep. A few things perhaps need replacing, but that's the nature of the business, in that you can replace something today which gets damaged tomorrow! The staff were friendly & welcoming, Hannah being particularly helpful. Although I didn't use the leisure facilities, indoor & outdoor pools, gym as well as a jacuzzi are definitely a bonus. The breakfast choices were good, with options for everyone. The full English was cooked to order, hot & tasty. I certainly have no hesitation in recommending the hotel, which offers a great location & value for money.

I can't fault the hotel staff - they were great - hard working and always very nice. The hotel itself is situated within walking distance (about 15 minutes) of centre of town and all the pubs * nice places. Hotel has ample parking space so leaving the car there and just walking around town is perfectly fine.

The breakfast (cooked full English) was really good.

The bedding in the room was comfortable, and I recommend getting room #1 especially if you can because it had a beautiful view and gave us a great sense of space.

The reason why this is not a 5-star review is because the hotel does need to be refreshed a little. It has a lot of charm, but some of the facilities are really aging. Our bathroom had a broken lock and no shower head for example.

And the indoor swimming pool, spa and jacuzzi facilities are a great addition, but they too need refurbishment.

Overall, still a very good place to stay!

Room Tip: Room #1 has a great view
