We extended our weeks holiday with 2 nights at the Osborne Hotel and with very helpful staff upgraded to seaview room. The peaceful setting is just stunning set in beautiful gardens with direct access to Meadfoot Beach only a 20 minute stroll from the centre of torquay. Well equipt health club and indoor swim complex below hotel. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and resturants of Michelin quality. For that very special break we highly recomend.

My partner and I visited this hotel in July this year for a four-night break. Initially we were a little dismayed that the room and bathroom were quite tiny, but we quickly realised it's because the property dates back a couple of hundred years and rooms WERE much smaller then! The Reception and Restaurant staff were always very polite and attentive, and the excellent facilities onsite (indoor pool, outdoor pool, tennis court, gym, terrace café) meant that we had everything we needed. The location was great too, with a fantastic view over Tor Bay. Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are stunning

Midweek short break with elderly parents with mobility difficulties.
Lovely Georgian Hotel, beautiful building, grounds and series.
Comfortable rooms with sea views, clean and well equipped.efficient reception and check in.
Could have done with some grab rails for parent who could not use shower but could have brought our own, otherwise good for those with mobility issues if you discuss with Hotel first, who allocated rooms next to each other, near lifts and not too far from dining room making life easier for parents.
Absolutely fab Restaurant staff who were polite and helpful and food lovely, compliments to staff and Chef, we would definitely return

Room Tip: Speak to Hotel beforehand, ask for Seaview and Suite

We recently stayed at this hotel for a short break. On arrival we were instantly made welcome by the reception staff. We had to wait for an hour for our room to be ready but this was no hardship as we enjoyed the spectacular views over Meedfoot bay from the terrace bar where we enjoyed a refreshing pint of larger and delicious foot long hot dog from the BBQ . Our room didn't have a sea view as it was at the rear of the hotel, but it was modern clean and we'll equipped. The bed was very comfortable. There was a small safe in the wardrobe along with iron and ironing board. The ensure was compact but adequate for our stay. The towels were huge and fluffy!
The reason we chose this hotel was it's location and we were not disappointed. The outdoor swimming pool was a big plus with lots of seats and sunbeds from which we could still take in the beautiful views. The pool was heated and although shallow was still deep enough for those who wanted to take a dip. The restaurant was also very good. We stayed bed and breakfast but also had dinner one evening.
There is also a small indoor pool and gym facilities but they are in the basement of the building and we didn't use them on our visit as the weather was quite good and we were able to be outdoors. There is a small putting green free for guests to use which we really enjoyed. There is also a tennis court but not sure if you have to hire equipment as we didn't use this facility.
The hotel has lovely grounds and these lead down to the beach where there is a lovely small cafe. The coastal path into Torquay is very uneven and very steep in places. The quickest way to walk into town is on the roadway about one mile but quite steep in places. We walked in on a couple of evenings but got a taxi back for about 5 pounds.
This hotel was exactly as advertised and I would certainly like to visit again.

Room Tip: Would recommend sea view room
