I ordered the curry and was told it was unavailable so chose a sandwhich along with a portion of chips. I am afraid the sandwhich was almost unedible, made from cheap sliced brown bread and cheap processed cheese. Although the homemade coleslaw was delicious, the chips were cheap frozen and disappointing. My 85 year old mother in law had the gammon steak which was over cooked and tough.I rarely complain but we go to this location quite often as its easy to park and not far to walk but so often we are disappointed with the quality of the food. Such a shame as its a wonderful location.

We ended up staying for 3 nights instead of one because of weather conditions and my husband having Radiotherapy at the nearby hospital. The hotel is in need of some updating but is very comfortable in a nice old fashioned way. We had room 41 which had a very comfy bed and was a good size. The ensuite was a shower over bath which was tricky to get in and out of.

The food was very good with good choices, look out for lovely desserts. The manager and his reduced staff coped well with the conditions and were very kind to us as my husband wasn’t well.

All in all a good place to stay if a little overpriced. I felt we were charged a fairly high overnight rate. Extremely convenient for the hospital and would definitely return.

Spent two nights in this excellent hotel for my birthday in February. The hotel is slightly dated but the room was comfortable and warm ( which isn't always the case in older hotels )
The shortcomings of the hotel are far out weighed by the friendly staff who are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the locality.
The food in the restaurant is of a very high standard, cooked to order and good portion
size. My wife is extremely fussy with her food and they were more than happy to accommodate her tastes.

Staff has always been friendly and facilities adequate for small gatherings. Food as expected. Great location, parking is aplenty.
Not sure what businesses pay but quite a convenient facility. Never stayed overnight so cannot comment.

Stayed at this hotel for a single night only to attend a funeral just a short distance away. The wake was held here so it made sense for several family members to stay here. The staff were young, friendly and keen to offer good customer service. A good size private carpark was also a bonus. Restaurant food was of a good, albeit not a gourmet standard. We stayed in a ground-floor room which was of a good size, with ensuite bathroom. We noted, however, that the room was overlooked by other ground floor and first floor windows as a further wing was built at right-angles to the room we stayed in. With no blinds or net curtains, room privacy could not be guaranteed unless the main curtains were drawn. Breakfast was self- service but with a good range of choice.
