The hotel looked just a little more upmarket in the pictures. The hallway looked lacklustre and certainly not in any way luxurious. Was this a tapas bar, a cafe or a bed and breakfast or a hotel?
. Lovely friendly lady showed me to the room and I noticed the carpet was old and grubby, shame. Our “luxury” green room had no view with blanked out glass, which made it feel oppressive. Main problems, the bed was broken....actually broken, the springs stuck up through the mattress and my poor partner disappeared into a hollow and he woke up with an awful bad back. We were offered another room but by then we were in bed with no dressing gowns to hand and all suit cases open. There was no soap in the bathroom. You had to leave the bath And use a pump soap from the shower. Absolutely no toiletries at all.
The bath sink was blocked and ran away slowly.
Breakfast was good.
On explaining the bed situation and actually showing the manger? The bed which was clearly broken she said no one else had complained ( that old excuse!) £30 was taken off our bill. Why not just agree, the bed was broken and apologise. A client does not want excuses, just resolution.
We won’t be returning, which is a shame.More
