Great quality informal fish restaurant. We had the cod and chips and the monkfish scampi- both delicious (if a little pricey) and they came with some good sauces. There are lots of other more restauranty fish dishes on the menu, and the waitress indicated by drawing on our paper table cloth which specials were available. We didn't need the offer of unlimited chips, but the idea is a novel one! We had a table tucked in the very front of the restaurant which was cosy and perfect for us with our toddler. A high quality activity pack was provided for him, which is still entertaining him days later! All in all this was just what we needed, high quality fish and chips in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Would definitely recommend booking as I gather they get very busy!

Yes it was half term so we should have realised it would be busy and we did reserve a table weeks ago. Maybe that’s how we managed to get a window sear overlooking the harbour, very nice it was too. There was a constant queue of families wanting tables and the phone rang non stop. But all the staff were relaxed, pleasant and very friendly to everyone they spoke to. What a nice change that makes. The food was very good. We shared scallops in their shells cooked in garlic butter and breadcrumbs for starters (there were three scallops but with the bread it was ample for two). Mains were monkfish scampi and salad for hubby and I had the Fritto Misto with chips. Both the salad and the chips were unlimited (i.e. if you wanted more you could have more at no extra cost). A nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc set it all off very nicely. Well done to all the staff who cooked and served good food with a smile and made it a delightful experience.

We spent a week in Darmouth and ate at Rockfish twice. Couldn't resist a second visit as the quality of the fish we had was so good. The chips were great but the fish was the star! Batter was light & crispy and the fish was delicate yet full of flavour. Portions were generous and mushy peas were fab, creamy and rich.
