Eight adults stayed comfortably at this wonderful Mill situated in Rocky Valley. There is plenty of room especially if we were seeking to adopt some social distancing. The Mill has a garden adjacent to the rocky valley hence the footpath that runs along side the property means that walkers often stop to take pictures! Be warned! The garden furniture is fine but it could do with a jet wash! There is a steep climb to the cliff tops and access to some great beaches. The walk to Tintangel is challenging but great with spectacular views. The Mill, which still has its mechanism attached, is in a valley and so it’s can be a little cold and damp. We used the wood burner in the lounge most evenings even though it was August! I expect it gets cosy in the winter when you can have the heating on. The kitchen is a good size, with an excellent range and all the utensils you could want for, but the dishwasher/sink arrangement is very frustrating. Also watch out for your heads as there are some low ceilings! The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms excellent. A terrific spot and great for exploring and for a family gathering as it can take at least 10 adults comfortably. We will certainly consider returning.
This was the first time we have booked all the properties on one site so that our whole family could get together at New Year and we weren’t disappointed. Rocky Valley itself is stunning with a beautiful walk down to the cove, featuring the ruins of a previous Mill. There is easy access to the coastal path and exceptional view from the top towards Tintagel and Boscastle. The houses were very comfortable, superbly furnished and equipped, and the Mill was easily big enough for 25 of us to welcome in the New Year in style.
Special Holiday Home to stay in Quiet and Secluded Area. Couldn’t Fault it Would recommend A break there Marvellous for Children to paddle in the stream
Such a fantastic week at this amazing property!!
The photos don’t do the the mill justice, it is even more beautiful in real life. So much attention to detail in all the furnishings throughout, such a lovely place to stay. The kitchen so well equipped which makes catering for 12 people much easier.
We enjoyed many walks down through Rocky Valley and onto the cliff tops where you will find the most beautiful views of the sea and some lovely coves.
Tintagel itself is a lovely little town which is easily accessible on foot or by car (lots of parking). Lovely pasties in the pasty shop near the castle ruins.
All round amazing week, we would definitely return - don’t think just book book book!
This has got to be the most amazing cottage experience in Cornwall. We visited with the extended family, and had the most wonderful week at the cottage. The pictures do not do the place justice, it is simply a magical place to visit, located in the most beautiful landscape Cornwall has to offer. Can’t wait to be back. Thank you!
