Description: The Port William Inn at Trebarwith Strand, near Tintagel, is a wonderful pub and restaurant on the North Cornwall coast, renowned for excellent pub food and a comfortable welcoming bar. There is also 4 star accommodation, with all 8 hotel rooms having a very high standard of finish and superb sea views, down to the sea and the dramatic cliffs. Magnificently situated, The Port William Inn nestles into the cliffs overlooking the dramatic Trebarwith Strand on the North Cornwall coast. When out, the tide reveals a mile of golden sand which can be viewed from the bar, the conservatory dining area and from the inn's eight luxurious en suite hotel bedrooms. Once you have visited we are sure you will agree there is no other inn in Cornwall with a location to match that of the Port William. You are also welcome to enjoy the inn's excellent food and drink from the bar and restaurant, while enjoying the superb views from our outside terrace. The Port William lies on the famous Cornwall coast path and is a very popular stop off point for walkers. Trebarwith Strand also offers a surf school and has Life Guards during the summer months. A short drive takes you to local golf courses and tennis courts while the world famous Tintagel Castle and Island are just a short walk along the coast path.

We stopped by Port William Inn for some much needed brunch after a long stroll along the seafront.
We sat in the outdoor seating area overlooking the sea.
We had was to go inside the restaurant/bar to place our orders. We had a delicious chocolate cake a pot of tea and Cappuccino. Table service was limited we were advised that any further orders would require us to go back inside to order. I found this a bit naff, however, depending on how busy they are they would oblige with taking orders.
Dogs are welcome which was great.
On a wbole a enjoyable experience.

This was our 4th visit to the Port William this year. I have to say, it continues to go from strength to strength. The accommodation was as always spotless and very comfortable. Bar service and food were wonderful too. Special thanks to the team there who can’t do enough to help and always greet you with a smile (especially Steve). Keep up the fantastic work all and we'll be back in Feb.

Having recently moved to the area we wanted to take six visiting friends to lunch somewhere where they could see the sea but not freeze! The Port William fitted the bill as it overlooks the dramatic scenery of Trebarwith Strand.

A small but useful to know point is that you will need to park in the public car park at Trebarwith and walk up to the Port William (it's a very short walk) as their car park has been lost to erosion.

On a cold and blustery day this place feels like it is wrapping its arms around you as soon as you walk through the door. Log fires and very friendly staff create a great atmosphere. There were eight of us and the choices from the extensive and veggie friendly menu ranged from 'Catch of the day' to Thai curry. The food was very good indeed, obviously home-cooked and sensibly priced. It's a 'find'.

Been travelling down to the Port William from London for many years and always wanted to stay. Saw the fireworks advertised on Facebook and decided this would be a good excuse to book two nights stay. We stayed in room 4 which had a lovely view of the sea, was nicely decorated and had everything you would need. The room was very clean, had a comfortable bed and a TV. All staff were very friendly and helpful even when they were busy, the staff took time to make you feel welcome. The pub was nicely decorated for Halloween, the staff also dressed up and they put on a great firework display with a live band after ( called not the Beatles). Who got people up to dance. Was a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. In the morning there was a good choice of breakfast from cereal, toast and full English (you could mix it up the options if you wished), our eggs were cooked perfectly! It's the perfect place to relax and unwind. We are already talking about going back next year!

Stopped for lunch. Stunning views whilst you eat. Pleasant staff and service good. Had burger and chips and scampi and chips and could not fault at all. We both had a fabulous lunch in lovely surroundings. They were busy but plenty of seating. Well worth a visit. Lovely beach (when tide is out) and right on the coastpath if you enjoy a walk. They also have rooms if you want to stay longer!
