We deciddd to go here to visit the brewery but being out of season it was shut , but we stayed to have a meal in the restaurant, the place is stunning , lovely decor and views to die for.
I had fish and chips which were the best I have had in ages
My hubby had beef and ale pie and it was spot on.
Staff are polite , helpful and the whole ambience of the place was peaceful calm and relaxing , we visit Cornwall at least twice a year so will be back to visit the brewery for sure . Lovely shop where we purchased our brews

Went for Sunday lunch the service was shocking nothing was explained how it works. It turned into a guessing game Sat at a table that was filth asked for it to be wiped down and this was ignored. The staff was all to busy chatting in corners this was more important than dealing with the public. The food that was advertised was not available or so called not to us visitors but if you were locals you got the good beef but public was served saddle . The restaurant and staff need to pay attention to what and how they treat the public visitors . This really is not good business practice . I would not recommend this on a Sunday a great disappointment.
OK for a drink great views but food and service a big no no

Top quality carvery at a reasonable price. Really lovely dining area and dog friendly at the bar. The beer is also very popular... and very tasty. We will definately be back for more

We had a brilliant morning here with a video on how the brewery operates with some welcome sampling afterwards. Everybody made us so welcome and explained clearly. As someone else has said 'a hidden gem'.

Booked carvery for 1330 and arrived early and shown our table and then told we could go and get our food from the carvery after ordering 2 drinks from the bar. We finished our dinner at about 1400 and intended having a dessert and another 2 drinks. However nobody came over to take our dirty plates away and take our dessert order. After about 30 mins we got the attention of 1of the waiting staff who took our plates away. We asked for further drinks and the dessert menu. After waiting for another 15mins we decided to leave and went to the bar to pay for our dinner. All other tables around us were attended to by waiters but not us. Although the food was ok the service was not and we won't be recommending this restaurant to our many friends in the area
