The lunch special is great value and good fish and chips for the price, it also comes with tea or coffee so perfect for a quick stop while visiting st Ives on a budget. The staff are friendly too. We did ask for a dessert but they didn't have what was on the menu. That was the only downside.

We visited this cafe on our recent trip to St Ives. The cafe has lovely views overlooking the harbour. This is good chip shop food, if you are wanting something more special then this is not for you. The food did take a long time to arrive, despite not many people being in, and us just ordering standard chip shop food. The staff could also be more friendly, a smile goes a long way! We could not fault the food though, it was great.

We came here after getting soaked and feeling a bit tired and cold. We wanted some 'proper' fish and chips and this place delivered! Don't be put off by the interior, although it looks a little dated the fish and chips are fantastic and very reasonably priced. The food was served quickly, was hot, the staff were friendly and we also got the perfect view of the local seals that visit the harbour most nights!

As suggested in the title, luckily our group of friends visiting here had a good laugh about our experience at Kingfisher.

If you re looking for a nice, clean fish and chip restaurant with friendly staff - DO NOT GO HERE!

If you are looking for fish and chips to eat outside and can laugh about the unnecessarily grumpy old woman (and equally miserable sidekick) who will use her favourite catch phrase 'we cook fresh so it takes time', accuse you of stealing 10p sachets of tomato ketchup and then inform you your food is ready by abruptly shouting 'helloooooo' at you - give it a go!

Fish and chips here are nice but not mind blowing and it's such a shame that such a beautiful and probably sought after location with perfect views of St Ives harbour is inhabited by an establishment with less customer service skills than an old dog chewing a wasps nest!

P.s I don't even like tomato ketchup!

Went here today for a treat for my son, very poor service ,grumpy staff,waited ages for 2 cod and chips....only to be served a triangular frozen piece of fish ! Still have the horrid greasy taste in our mouths ! Not impressed one little bit....also a bit tacky inside only good thing about this place was the view ! This actually spoilt our day out to st Ives !
