We had pre booked a 'Doc Martin walking tour's but due to lack of parking spaces we were late and missed our time. The meeting point was a bakery called 'May contain nuts' and on an off chance we asked the very busy behind the counter if she had any idea where we might catch up with it. She suggested a couple of places but we couldn't find them so returned to buy a map in order to walk around ourselves. While we were deciding which way to go she came running down the street having managed to contact the tour guide by phone and pointed out Doc Martin's house across the harbour. The group waited for us and we joined them for the rest of the tour which was interesting, particularly as our guide had been a member of cast and one of only a few people who live in Port Isaac (most of the houses are now holiday homes). A very pretty sea port and worth a trip even if you're not a Doc Martin fan. Make sure you buy a take away cream tea for two from 'May contain nuts', lovely fresh scones, clotted cream and jam.....we enjoyed ours back at our hotel and I wished I'd bought two!!!
You can also book tour tickets here which were cheaper than the ones available on line.

This shop acts as your ticket office for the Portween Doc Martin Tour but conveniently has cakes etc which certainly filled the hole after driving from Southampton. Variety was good.

Great coffee and other hot drinks. Fresh bakery items which were really delicious. The take away cream tea was excellent, and we shared one sitting in the beach. What could be better?

Driving down the narrow steep road into Port Isaac not knowing where we were to be heading, we pulled over to ask for assistance from the lady in the store. So helpful and obliging in reassuring us we were heading the right way. We went back later to thank her once we got settled. The store has some great wholesome goodies as well as the famous Cornish pastie which is a must. For those wanting to do the Doc Martin tour this is the place to book it, the guide Michael from here is fabulous - thanks again Wes, you made our stay in Port Isaac memorable

Just got checked into our hotel and started our tour of the village. May Contain Nuts was basically the first shop we went it because it had all the Doc Martin paraphernalia and realized they also had Cornish pasties. I got the steak and mushroom and it was really yummy!
