Description: We are a welcoming, friendly, happy cafe-bar serving some of the best local produce in Cornwall. We serve specialty coffee from Origin Coffee Roasters, our meat is from our Local Butcher (Harvey Brothers) our bread comes daily from Baker Toms in Falmouth and our vegetables are all locally sourced. We offer wines and ciders from Polgoon Vineyard right here in Penzance and we have beers from St Austell Brewery and Keltek Brewery. We love dogs and have areas where you can relax with your four legged friend (plus Katie, one of our owners, is likely to give them a treat or two). We have a laid-back atmosphere whether you are in to read the papers, catch up with friends over a cocktail, or even a business meeting, we are here to look after you. We can take reservations and are even open for private hire, contact us for more details.

We had walked past this place numerous of times. And finally decided to go in and give it a go. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. And we were served quickly as well and politely. The menus we were given were bits of paper on a clipboard. Now I have seen this before and it can look very nice, however the paper had a coffee stain on it and was very crumpled. The menu itself just seemed to be breakfast foods with a couple of sandwich options. And a salad option. So this was a bit disappointing. It would of been nice to have a bigger lunch menu. A few more sandwich and salad options would of been good.
We ordered a blt sandwich and it was ok. There wasnt anything special about it.
However, the coffee on the hand was lovely! We throughly enjoyed our cups of coffee and were pleased to find out that it is a local coffee :) We also like to support the local businesses where we can. The coffee was one of the best coffees we have had. So even though we thought the menu presentation wasn't great and the sandwich wasn't anything special. We will be back for the coffee and polite and friendly service!

We saw the cafe driving past and looked on line and decided to give it a try.
Quirky little cafe.
Love the gents toilets for the glitter balls in the garden/outside area were a good touch.
Food ok I had pancakes and my wife had a Bacon sandwich.
Loads of maple syrup on the pancakes.
I had a banana smoothie.
Nice little cafe.

We came here for breakfast based on the good reviews and because of the gluten-free options on the menu. The staff was very friendly, but our waitress didn't know which items on the menu were gluten-free. When our breakfast arrived (eggs on toast and eggs Benedict) the poached eggs were almost hard boiled, the toast was soggy, the hash brown fried right through. Our complaint was handled very professionally and we received a discount. Toilets were dirty and one glance in the kitchen was enough to know we wouldn't be coming back here.

The food here is very good. Quite a good choice but everything done well. The interior is nice and the garden too. The toilets are... interesting (gents anyway), they have a little prison/play area under the stairs for babies. The only problem we had was that the first time we came in they only had one member of staff working and a big party had turned up so he was rushed off his feet, he very apologetically told us that it would be an hours wait for even just a hot drink. We came back a day or two later and all was changed, 3 members of staff, though they were having some kind of party upstairs. While we were there they did get very full and some people had to be turned away

Being frequent visitors to PZ, we recommend a visit to the Front Room which is one of our favourite places to go for breakfast or to drop in for a mid morning coffee. Great atmosphere, free WiFi and an excellent menu choice.
