Review of 25 the waves. Apartment is large, clean, well presented and well equipped.

We booked through blue chip holidays who passed on a phone number for Vinnie who I contacted to arrange key collection etc, she was very helpful and informative.

The rooms are all a great size, very clean and well maintained.

A lovely view of the beach and a great place to stay for a break away. We are not surfers however if you are looking for a base to go surfing there is storage downstairs for your surf boards and wet suits. Everyone seems to bring dogs with them too.

Your own parking space, the space we have which is under cover is quite small, if you have a larger car you may have issues getting in and out of the parking space.

Overall a lovely place to stay and we would stay again.

We have just got back from a week in apartment 16 at Watergate Bay. We couldn't fault the location or the apartment building, its amazing. There is secure parking when you arrive and each apartment has its own allocated parking space. However these are very tight and we struggled with our 4x4. The wooden fence dividers between each space should be removed as they are pointless and make things very tight indeed. We had to get out of the car whilst my husband parked as we couldn't open the doors to get out off the car otherwise.

The common areas are lovely and are cleaned regularly. It was disheartening however to see the hardworking cleaners having to clean up dog urine in the main entrance which was all over the beautiful wicker seating furniture and the skirting boards. I did have concerns about dogs in these lovely apartments, who on earth would let their dog urinate inside an apartment block?! This did happen, as non doggy people we do get frustrated, would we let our children urinate everywhere, no we would not, so why let your dogs and spread disease?!

The apartment itself was very nice if a little bijou. It was very well equipped but I did have some concerns about overall cleanliness as it was quite dusty behind furniture etc. There were however lots of lovely clean towels and the two bathrooms were very nice but again not quite as clean as they should have been with sand still in the shower from the previous occupiers.

The main bedroom was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The second bedroom was tiny and just fitted one set of bunk beds and a small chest of drawers. As we had booked for 5 and have 3 children we realised on arrival that sleeping arrangements were going to be tight. There was a very comfortable camp bed for our third child provided but we had to put this up in the kitchen area at night and space was very tight. I would definitely say that this apartment should not be booked for 5 and can only sleep 4 comfortably. The mattresses on the two bunk beds were terrible quality and we had to ask for extra duvets to pad them out as it was like sleeping on springs. These should be replaced with better quality mattresses.

The kitchen area was small but very well equipped. The only problem was the seal around the sink area that had come unstuck and kept falling off. This was quite dirty underneath and should be replaced.

Apartment 16 is at the back of the building but this shouldn't put anyone off as there is an amazing decked patio area with lovely furniture. It overlooks a beautifully landscaped area with plants and flowers and the hydrangeas were stunning when we were there. It only gets the morning sunshine but was a very useful space and helped with the rather cramped accommodation inside the apartment.

The location is amazing and so near to the beach. Visits to 15 for a lovely breakfast and The Beach Hut are a must.

Overall a nice little apartment but one or two niggles that could easily be put right.

Stayed at Waves 31, Watergate Bay for 1 week in July. The apartment is excellent. Modern, clean, quiet, very well equipped inc wifi and close to beach. Only complaint is the parking facilities - each apartment has one designated parking place which is pointlessly framed by an open wooden frame arrangement. This, combined with the narrow space available created by concrete curbstones set into the ground (in place of the usual white lines) make it difficult to park and even more difficult to get out of the car. The curbstones also have very sharp corners, and if you get it slightly wrong, as I did, bang (literally) goes a tyre. I later heard from other residents that this is a regularly occurance. In my case it added another £120 (new tyre) to the holiday.

This is the 4th apartment that we have had, and, although it is still very good, no 33 feels a little cramped. Waves is a nice block with allocated parking spaces and a lift - all good for those of us with mobility issues. The flats are usually well equipped and clean. Some are Friday change days and some Saturday; some allow pets and others don't; some are sea view (premium priced) and others garden view - take your pick of what suits you. I am on Orange network and don't have a connection issue and the Wi-Fi was perfect. The Sky Sports was great too as the Test match was on!

Amazing stay at no 20.Fantastic weather as well! We preferred overlooking the garden rather than the car park and traffic at the front. We opened the French window in the evening to enjoy drinks-very peaceful and no traffic in sight! Apartment very clean, fresh & well equipped with every facility to make a perfect holiday.
We has not been to Watergate Bay since our children were small and it was as beautiful as ever, now with the added advantage of excellent eateries on the doorstep. We will most definitely return and hopefully to no.20.

Room Tip: Stay overlooking the gardens for tranquillity.
