The Headland is a beautiful hotel, well maintained and staffed by friendly and helpful people. Nothing is too much trouble and the views of the ocean are wonderful. Log fires in the winter and extremely cosy surroundings. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

What can I say; it’s one of the most perfect venues I’ve ever stayed at.
Food; excellent
Staff; exemplary
Views; stunning ( Fistral looking rooms recommended)
Spa; one of the best I’ve been at. Probably only beaten by Borringdon Gaia spa ( but that did win best spa in England in 2017!)
Rooms; traditional but beautiful

One of the nicest weekend stays I’ve ever had away.

This was our first visit to this iconic hotel, for lunch with friends staying there. We lunched in the brasserie, with a panoramic view over Fistral Beach and beyond. It was magnificent, overlooking today's wild, stormy sea.

The menu was not extensive but what there was came well prepared. Staff were friendly and obliging. Strong drink was taken and they even troubled to decant the port we finished with. It's a classic country house style hotel standing magnificently on the North Cornish clifftop outside the main town. Prices are reasonable in low season but I shudder to think what it would cost in the high season.

Much enjoyed and we shall certainly revisit - soon! Dinner in the evening would be wonderful for a serious gourmet experience.

What a wonderful surprise. We are very fortunate to be able to travel the world as we do and although we feel spoilt, we don’t take things for granted. Sadly we always seem to “miss the mark” when booking accommodation in the UK. We always feel slightly disappointed that the accommodation does not seem to live up to what we have been led to believe. Well this trip proved that one just has to persevere.
From the stunning beachfront setting, the most outstanding customer services, the friendliest staff and the spotless accommodation, we were happy happy happy.
We had a superb meal at the terrace restaurant, a great morning at the spa and I even managed a couple of mornings while my other half was surfing. If I had to look for a fault of some sort it would be that the Sauvignon was not chilled and nor was the tonic for the G&T. I would definitely stay again and we look forward to doing so in the not too distant future.

Room tip: The cottages are lovely inside and have everything one needs

On a recent visit to Newquay ( I work around Cornwall fairly regurlary) my partner and I had gone for a coastal walk. Previously, we had noticed the cottages at the Headlands and when walking past we were once again reminded how lovely they are. With both my mother and partners birthdays coming up, I was keen to enquire on short breaks at the cottages. I called the hotel, and firstly spoke with a lady named Marie - she was great and explained that as reservations was very busy she would have someone call me back. Almost immediately a gentleman named Rado had called me. He kindly asked me to pop in and see them at the hotel if I was in the area anyway. My partner and I went along and were absolutely amazed at the customer service we were given. Rado gave us so much of his time, discussing different dates and rates and showed us not one, but two properties as well as all around the hotel grounds and the spa. This man really has got excellent customer service running through his veins! He was soooo friendly, reassuring and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Often, you sometimes feel as though you are being annoying when you ask for different dates and lots of different options etc however this was not a problem and Rado was happy to help and made lots of good suggestions. Whilst waiting in the lobby, I also noticed lots of people getting courtsey calls from reception staff to make sure they were happy with their rooms... Small things such as this make all the difference and from what I see they really have got it nailed over at the The Headland, the facilities and the grounds are beautiful, so is the accomodation and the staff are such a huge asset! Well done! We cannot wait for our mini break(s) with you!
