Dined on a a Saturday night with friends in this excellent, atmospheric establishment. The food was well prepared although my fish mousse was rather bland as was the soup. The cassoulet was superb with a real depth of flavour, the beans and the duck melting in the mouth. Service was efficient and friendly with a smile.

Small French restaurant in the centre of Chester. Nice bistro style tables and chairs, excellent service and great cooking. Good value and just enough choice without trying to offer too many dishes on the menu. You need to book if you want to be sure to get a table, turn up on the chance of a table and you may have to settle for Nando's next door.

my son and i, booked for 6pm last night, 1st visit, both of us really liked it,the setting was great, just the right size. the staff (the owner i think) and the waitress were great, always around but unlike some places not overbearing, they were sociable and you could tell they cared if you enjoyed the food.
we had a 3course meal, where they allowed us enough time between each course, my only problem was that i had mussels for a starter(1st time) and there were to many for me(my fault) which i explained as i had to leave some(felt guilty)but they tasted great, we both loved the food and the chablis, and we will be back again.also the price for food/wine/atmosphere was fantastic, a great way to have an early evening meal, it was busy while we were there, and with more time we will go back for the night time.
cannot fill in the complete review about what they offer as i did not ask.
