Stayed here for 5 nights in October. After a small teething problem checking in, which was rectified in a professional manner we enjoyed our stay here (family of 5 - 2 rooms). The young ladies and gentlemen on reception are really friendly and helpful and are a credit to Premier Inn. Now the food - after reading previous reviews we booked in for breakfast but not dinner. On our first night (Sunday) we decide to try the restaurant. With low expectations we were pleasantly surprised - excellent food and the service and the staff very professional - no complaints and ate there on the Tuesday, same scenario excellent. We enjoyed our meal so much we went again on the Wednesday night and were very disappointed. It was like we were in a different restaurant - the food was shocking and the service not great. The staff were unhelpful and seemed to need customer service training. I ordered a crumble for dessert and it was inedible - you thought I had ordered soup! I showed this to a member of staff and the reply i got was "well that is what it is and I can't promise if I get another one it will not be the same" Really no offer of something else and no refund that was that.
