This was our 2nd stay here and this time we were 4 couples having a weekend in Chester. The hotel has ample parking (and there is free street parking - handy if you want to make a full day of your last day there). The rooms are nice and clean and the staff particularly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is marvellous with a full choice and freshly cooked. We all ate there one of our nights and the food was excellent. Its a pleasant 10 minute walk to the Chester walls.

The hotel was easy to find and was a short (15min) walk from the city centre. It had adequate car parking The reception was quick and efficient and my first impression of the hotel was very positive. It was clean, tidy and well furnished. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and very clean. There was hot drinks facilities in the room and plenty of storage for clothing and luggage. The hotel bar was well stocked and the prices were reasonable. The staff were, again, friendly and attentive. The meals were fine and the food plentiful. The waitresses were friendly and efficient but there were some minor language problems but not enough to detract from the enjoyment of the meal. The prices were very reasonable and I would go there again and would recommend it unreservedly.

The rooms are good, slightly tired but comfortable. The breakfasts are wonderful & the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for an exploring weekend in this really interesting city.

Booked last minute with the promise of a bottle of prosecco on arrival. Was greeted with a friendly face but was told the promise of a bottle prosecco was a joke!!! So that was under false pretences.
Smell on entry was fusty, room was disappointing with a tatty old bed which was ripped and worn, bed posts missing, curtains hanging off the rail. Bathroom was tired, old bath with with bits of dirt in, shower screen seal hanging off. Not worth what we paid and won't return.

Hotel location is great, just a short 15 minute stroll to the town or a taxi will cost approximately £4, also the same distance from the train station.
Greeted by a very polite receptionist, booked us in with ease. We had room 28 which was below ground slightly, but very nice and clean, comfortable beds, 2 tvs, tea/coffee. The reception area is nice, with nice seating areas, TV and bar. The breakfast was fabulous, full English, omelette, salmon, cereal, pastries, juices, yogurts.. The staff were great, food great with plenty of choice, comfortable room and nice seating. We had a great 1 night stay. Would definitely stop again..
