good quality sleep: bed was really comfortable.

food: Thyme restaurant and bar - rich breakfast buffet.

I probably paid a little more than I would expect for a PI but then we travelled during the school summer holidays, therefore, rightly or wrongly, I had high expectations.

They were met. Parking on site, extraordinarily clean, great service from all the staff, lovely evening meal, typically brilliant PI breakfast.... and best of all, in the middle of the hottest summer EVER. Air conditioning.

Perfect.

This is fairly new, purpose built PI. There are many good things about it - comfy beds, location.
However, the breakfast buffet was cramped. On one occasion people were queuing outside the buffet space. People were shunting past each other to get to the food. In particular, the toast had to go through twice which caused more of a blockage.
The coffee machines were in a different area.
The Travelodge across the road is much more spacious.
We expect PI to have planned this better.
The decor in the corridors is drab, not the modern look.
As a user of many Premier Inns we were disappointed.
