The old dining hall is full of color and different architectural styles. An overall beautiful college.

worth a look as the history behind the building is intriging as well as the age of the building, history of the side dates back to the 1400's
Queens' has been in the heart of Cambridge for more than five centuries. Today it supports a thriving academic community of undergraduates, graduates and academics.
It is spacious, centrally-located site enables us to accommodate all undergraduates for three years, creating an active and supportive community. Its academics teach in all the major subjects offered by the university. Graduate students are a large, lively, international group. Those who join Queens' make life-long friendships and many choose to be actively involved with the college after graduation.
Visited as part of a tour organised by by Tourist Information Centre for £12 (OAP rate). Went into the chapel and peeped into the student's restaurant. We were told lots of facts about its long history.
Some lovely old buildings, not as grand as some of the colleges but just as interesting. Don't miss the lavishly decorated old dining room with a fabulous painted ceiling.
When we were there, they had a special exhibition on in the old Erasmus Library and the gate house staff told us we could see the library if we said we wanted to see the exhibition. It really was a very ancient and interesting room but sadly not usually open to members of the public.
Highly understated with only £3 admission but the self guided tours takes you to see the Old Court which looks much like it did when built in 1448!! It is stunning. You can also visit the Wooden Bridge and walk over it, often referred to as the Mathematical Bridge.
