Husband and I spent 3 nights in Bristol last week. If there’s a Wetherspoons close to any hotel we stay in, we tend to have breakfast there each morning - we know what to expect and how much it’s likely to cost. This one was about 10 minutes walk from our hotel and we had breakfast here all 3 mornings and dinner on our last night in town. Every meal we had was tasty, hot and well presented, as well as being easy on the pocket. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We would definitely return without any hesitation.

We were staying at the Harbour and Spa hotel. Breakfast were rather pricy there. We had traditional breakfasts I asked for no beans and extra tomato and crispy bacon - none of this was any trouble at all. Clean and tidy - quaint with lovely fires. Original features including gas lighting- which the manager described to us not see this for long time - and it works.
Good selection of gins too.

We were looking for a late afternoon meal and tried a couple of nearby Indian restaurants, but they were closed until the early evening. We, therefore, ended up in this Wetherspoons pub that we had been into a few years earlier. The building itself is very attractive inside as well as out. We had the meal deal which included fish and chips and a drink for £7.49, I think. The fish was excellent – very large, lightly battered and very well cooked. The pints of ale were also very good. Service was also responsive. Next time we will forgo the Indian restaurants and return for fish and chips.
