Covid restrictions meant pre ordering breakfast and giving a specific time. Breakfast was ok - but sausages both vege and meat underwhelming - (and there’s no excuse for a poor sausage! )and not generous but perhaps out of COVID things are more generous.
Hotel itself is lovely and location is gorgeous. Staff sweet and it’s dog friendly but the dog room in the basement is really small compared to other rooms. Main issue with this hotel is total inaccessibility for anyone with buggies or mobility issues. Total inaccessibility. They said “it’s a listed building” - but in 2020 and on two levels - that is unacceptable. A ramp at least would make it possible.

I stay in Bristol regularly but this was my first stay at this hotel . It is in a fabulous location and the regular bus outside takes you down to the centre . The receptionist was very helpful in letting me leave a small bag prior to check in . The room was very spacious and immaculately clean . Unfortunately, I had forgot to book for breakfast the night before which was a shame as it looked very good . They could not accommodate me due to social distancing but there are plenty of cafes nearby . The car park is a real asset for the area . My room rate was very good and I look forward to returning soon .

The room and the bathroom in particular were tired and not very well maintained with some broken fittings. They were clean however. There was a strange smell that pervaded the hall outside and the room itself including the bathroom. Possibly it was furniture polish but it was quite overpowering.
Breakfast was good and the staff were courteous.
